We have arrived back from the Pegasos Palace this morning. We went for 10 days from 13th June.

Upon arrival in reception we were told our room was not ready. After waiting over an hour, a FC rep managed to get our room. Then our luggage did not arrive in the room, we ended up getting it ourselves.
There was no bed sheets available for our sofa bed & these were requested 3 times until eventually an annoyed hubby got them after we had come back from our night out at midnight!

Our room was a Family Room & was nice & clean with a bath & shower, TV & mini-fridge & air conditioning! We had 2 single beds & a sliding door leading to a double sofa bed - not comfy! Some rooms have a large double bed instead of 2 singles & kids den rooms have bunk beds. There is a patio area with a table & 2 chairs, but the patio door would not lock. Maid service every day.

The hotel is beautiful & the pools are fantastic. There are 5 in total & include 2 kiddies pools with slides & the mini water park. There are 2 jacuzzis in 1 of the pools but these were never working whilst we were there.

On our first day, we went to the beach as we could not get a sunbed anywhere round the pool area, every bed had a towel on! So the next day we had to do the same & get up early to claim our beds.
The beach is deserted most of the time, it is rocky & has grey sand but there are sunbeds & umbrellas available. We noticed that there are 100s of bags of golden sand at the entrance to the beach which will probably be laid soon.

This hotel is not 'all-iclusive'. We had to pay for everything other than food & local drinks. You have to pay for Sunbed cushions, fresh juice, cocktails, ice-creams, water sports, ten-pin bowling, PS2 games, indoor pool, gym. They seem to want to make as much money as possible even though you have paid a lot for 'all-inclusive'.

There are a number of shops including a couple that sell 'designer' goods (bags, T-shirts etc) but do not buy from these as you can get them much cheaper on a trip to Fethiye Market. They accept Lira & euros & you can change sterling at reception.

We did not enjoy the food, very repetative with lots of Meatballs, fried fish & chicken stir-fry, although the desserts were lovely!! A good salad selection but none of the dressings are labelled. Hubby put yoghurt on chips thinking it was mayo!!

The main restaurant (sunset)is downstairs & there is a The sunset serves breakfast from 7am-11am, lunch 12.00-2.00 & dinner 7.00-9.00. Kids Area upstairs which opens at 6.30 for dinner only & serves Pizza, Fish Fingers, Nuggets, Burger on Crispy Roll, but these are not all served every day.

There are 4 themed restaurants - Ottoman (turkish), Lebanese, Italian & Indian. I would book these for a welcome change! You need to book these at the side of reception desk & they get booked up quickly. We waited for Italian for 4 days. The Indian was the best, Italian good, not too keen on Ottoman & Lebanese.
They have a late night snack in the sunset restaurant between 11pm-12am but it is just left over food from dinner!

Our kids enjoyed the kids clubs, you need to book these the night before at the mini-disco, each session lasts 1 & half hours and usually has max.30 kids in each club. Some older clubs take only 15 max. We did not need to book for our 3 yer old, just went on the day as it was never full. The reps insist on Trainers but our little one only had sandals, this was okay - I think it depends on what activity they are doing.
Ours usually went 12.00-1.30 & in the evening 9.00-11.00 (2 hours). You can use the clubs more than once in a day. There are 4 clubs - 3-5 years, 6-8yrs, 9-11yrs & 12-15yrs. Also swim kids club.

The entertainment in the evening was very poor, but if you have little kiddies they will enjoy the mini-disco. The reps shows were terrible. However, at the smaller pool bar there was a live duo (guitar & keyboard) who were excellent.

The hotel is very isolated, so I would advise booking a couple of trips out. We went on the Daylan River Cruise & Mud bath Trip - an experience not to be missed!! We also went to the Fethiye Market trip which is on Tuesdays. This was great & we got some good bargains. On the way to the market, they stop at a Gold Factory for over an hour (?) hoping you will spend lots of money. We were all ready to leave after 15 minutes.

All water sports are payable. Hubby did Wind surfing & Kayaking. There is also a Banana Boat & Para-sailing.

We had an evening flight & managed to book a late room check out, this costs

Stayed at Pegasus Palace. Arrived at 4.00a.m. and luckily could not see what we had arrived at as we may have stayed on the coach.

Check in very quick, apart from failure for any assistance where to find our rooms. Luckily we found someone just on his way back from the bar to help us. No lights anywhere.

Our Jacuzzi suite was beautiful, but we appeared to be one of the lucky few with no problems apart from no working phone. Room kept quite clean, but the 5 lira every other day may have helped with this.

Food, lost for words, so predicable that you knew what was in each container before the lid was opened. We paid for 4 star, think we may just have got 2 star, but please try the specialty restaurants, these are really good. Staff always remove empty plates as soon as one of you has finished, but they are not trying to hurry you.

Location. OK if you like living on a building site. Constant noise and dust.

We returned back from the Pegasos Palace last week and all the family had an excellent holiday.

The welcome from the First Choice staff was superb and their efforts never stopped for the full 2 weeks. The kids reps and In2action staff were especially good.

Local hotel staff don't all speak perfect English, but it was fun helping them learn.

The whole hotel was brand spanking new and it was really nicely laid out - loads of lavish detail. Really good quality. Our room was great - and the kids went in the kids den which was decorated with Loony Tunes bits. The Playstation came in very handy when we wanted a rest before dinner.

The pools are awesome and we couldn't get the kids away from the place. Beach is really long and wide and quite natural. A sailing school was setting up which looked good.

We thought the food good. If we had eaten at the AI restaurants all the time it may have got a bit sameish, but we made use of the other restaurant...kids favourite was the Italian.

There were people complaining about construction work being completed at the new hotel next door, but we ignored them and got on with enjoying our holiday. I think a lot of them were just out to get something for themselves.

We would come back again as we can see that once the Tropical is complete too, the whole complex will be really great.

We arrived on 2.6.05, in the first group to arrive at the hotel for 2 weeks.

Initially we were a bit worried when we saw the building work, but this did not last for long.

The hotel itself, and the bars and restaurants are all beautifully furnished, with no expense spared. We had a jacuzzi suite, with kingsize bed, which was great, plenty of wardrobe space and shelves. ONE TIP - Take extra coat-hangers, I found we did not have enough. TV, fridge, DVD player, hairdryer, working air-con.

Food - although like already said, a bit repetative, there was always a good selection, and everything you could think of. You can stay round the pool bar (11.00 til 4.00pm) for hot-dogs, burgers, pizza, potato wedges, pasta etc, or go into the restaurant (12 til 2.00pm) for a more varied selection (sometimes better than at evening meal).

Pools - The whole pool area with the kids pools, mini water-park, Jacuzzi pool, are very impressive, with plenty of sunbed space.

It was a shame that people were getting up VERY early to reserve THEIR beds, but in truth there were plenty of beds to go round, with plenty of shaded areas, and brollies. Cushions for sunbeds you had to pay for - but hey, how often, and where do you normally get these for free.

Drinks - As stated in the brochure is "locally produced alcoholic drinks". Drinks were plenty full, all day long. Kids can get their own drinks from the dispensers, which were always being filled up, and there was plenty of variety. Water was also from a dispenser, but so what - it was always cold. It also saves from the rubbish of empty water bottles just strewn about - as some did with glasses and plates.

Although the waiters and cleaners worked very hard to keep the place spotlessly clean. Ice-creams you do have to pay for, but again these were not mentioned in the brochure as being included, so what do you expect.

Kids Club - Fantastic - The kids reps work really hard, and keep the kids entertained, with some very good and varied activities. My kids are 11 & 14, and were always entertained. (Hiya to "anakin" Gazza, and everybody else from Jordan) Kids had a great time.

Evening Entertaiment - Not up to much, but we met some great people, and the atmosphere was very friendly, we kept ourselves entertained.

To end - fair enough the hotel was not finished for when we arrived, but they were working 24/7 to get it there. We made the best of it, and by the end of the 2 weeks, there was a real improvement.

We've booked again for next year for in the Tropical - so it can't have been that bad.

We were among the first guests to stay at the Pegasos Palace. We stayed for 14 nights and by the time we got to the 14th night we couldn't wait to get home. Which has never been the case on any other holiday we have been on!

The hotel was far from complete when we arrived and also when we left.

The lower level staff (ie: bar staff, waitresses, etc) looked to have had no training and as such were a bit out of there depth and panicky. But they worked very hard, were very polite and friendly and were the best thing about this hotel.

The FC reps were very good, extremely helpful, and took a lot of stick about the hotel some of which was rude and unnecessary. But still they kept smiling, a credit to FC!

There was so much wrong with this hotel when we arrived it is unbelievable. Our air-con in the room only worked on 3 of the 14 nights - we complained on many occasions but nothing was done, we had constant problems with a lack of hot water in the late afternoons - even when there were only 450 guests there (it takes 2500!), the phones in the rooms didn't work for the first 5 days and when they did you couldn't phone the UK, only the reception where they couldn't understand you!! The safety deposit boxes weren't attached to anything.

There was still loads of building work being carried out all over the place and loads of safety issues, wires and cables protruding from places all over, foot sized holes around the pool at night where they intended to fit lights the next day, a Stanley knife picked up by a kiddie playing on the beach, other tools left lying around unattended, I could go on and on.

This hotel is much more like full board than all inclusive and a very poor full board at that! there are so many extras they want to charge you for it was getting frustrating and really annoying. The food was very repetitive, of little choice, and poor quality. I couldn't believe that when I went to the late night snacks buffet all I found was the food left over from dinner re-heated.

The evening entertainment was diabolical. Basically each evening consisted of the reps doing Karaoke but calling the show something different each time. On 3 occasions we had the hotels own entertainment team (2 women supporting 1 man - can't remember their names), they were EXCELLENT extremely entertaining!!

To sum up if you ignored all the problems and the on going building works and put them down to teething problems. This hotel has real potential and could become a lovely and even magical place to spend a fortnight. However we would NEVER go there AGAIN they will not get all the problems sorted out as they are only interested in taking your money, and cramming as many people in there as possible. There are not enough facilities for 2500 people and when the hotel next door opens you will have a maximum of 5000 people crammed in the 2 hotels, tempers will fray! My advice to anyone thinking of going there, is to choose another hotel, Turkey is a lovely place, The Pegasos Palace is horrible.

Superb holiday at the Holiday Village. Really recommend Pegasos Palace for a fantastic holiday with something for everyone.

The hotel is located only 20 mins from Dalaman airport and direct transfers mean you waste no time. The huge complex is set in a newly developed part of coastline set against green hillside. The whole place is immense, and when the new sister property (Pegasos Tropical) is open (early July) there will be so much on offer.

I could go on forever, but basically everything was superb - staff who worked really hard, rooms (we had one with a kids den with Playstation), food (got better as holiday went on), activities - the swimming and football lessons are excellent. We tried sailing too which was part of First Choice's programme based on the beach - the instructors were great and I'm surprised the beach wasn't packed - it's not often you get so much space to yourself, although sunbeds are scarce due to (what I preseume are) local restrictions. From other reviews it appears that the first week or so was more problematic due to certain teething troubles upon opening this new hotel. We were not affected by any of this and everyone who we hung out with were totally happy. Some guests were giving the reps a lot of grief for seemingly unimportant issues. It's a new hotel and it was great value for the quality we received. We took our mum out with us (66 yrs) and she loved every minute as much as our 2 year old daughter and 2 boys (4&6).. They fell in love with the In2action activity instructors, who were brilliant with all the kids.
We are looking at their Holiday Villages for next year and are considering Lanzarote.

I visited Pegasos Palace in June. I arrived 2 june 2005. When we arrived the hotel staff were wonderful they took are cases to our room and they provided us with a drink. They were very chatty although a lot of them didn't speak good English but they tried, the First Choice team were really friendly.

The hotel itself was finished it was just minor things that needed sorting but they were as the holiday progressed. The workmen worked 24hrs to get it to the right standard and a lot of people complained about the noise at night and in the morning but these people complained it wasn't finished so what do they expect.

It was very clean the maid cleaned my room everyday we were never short of a thing in there, the hallways were also very clean the maids never seemed to stop working.

The food was very limited and very repetitive.

The First Choice entertainment team needed to sort there entertainment out and stop repeating the same thing every night but calling it something different. I mean you go on holiday for a laugh not to sit on wooden benches outside (which were really uncomfortable) whilst getting bit to death by mozzies and listening to them singing and dancing. The line up every night was 8pm kids mini disco 9pm bingo 9.30pm cabaret 10pm showtime and the entertainment finished at 11pm then you could go over to the pool bar and there was a band on but they were boring and played the same songs everynight. The only good nights I had with entertainment was when the Pegasos team did the show.

Yes I would go back to this hotel but I think I would leave it a couple of years before I did once Pegasos Tropical opens and they are both completely finshed.

I think this will be a great place for familes.

Im a paying guest get me out of here. People should be told when hotels are not completed! Dusty unsafe under prepared mayhem when we were the first to arrive.

Estimated 200 workmen trying to sweep and build at the same time, unfinished swimming areas, paths blocked to the beach by building materials, and jcb diggers on the beach making a 8 foot deep gulley for shower pipes, unfinihed shops, play areas games room was anything ready stayed for 4 hours and shipped out to Marmaris never again!!!!!!

We found the hotel to be very clean our room was done everyday without fail. The maids even left the covers in pretty fan shapes on the beds. We didn't have any problems finding something nice to eat, although I must admit the food and variety of food was improving every day.

The waiters were especially prompt in removing dirty plates from your table. Sometimes the waiters seemed to appear from nowhere and 'whoosh' the plate was gone!

The only thing that I would've changed was the fact that the hotel is abit out in the sticks, but it was only 5 lira in a taxi into sarigerme and the dolmuses picked up very close by.

I found the hotel staff to be helpful although the language barrier was sometimes a problem, particularly if you spoke too fast.

As our children are only young we found the entertainment to be fine for us. Perhaps it would've been nice to have a little more variety rather than just singing based things.

The entertainment staff were doing their best and the performances of Grease, tickledum and Wizard of oz are well worth a look.

Would I visit the hotel again? Yes without any hesitation, so if anyones got a spare ticket i'll have it.
