Best Hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot through work and personal.
Do not book a sea view deluxe room.

We stayed at the Pegasus Palace with so many pools on offer I'm afraid we never used the beach, plus we had 1 year old in pushchair which made the beach hard work although we did make use of the water sports and they were brilliant.
The sand is ok, although the water edge is very stoney. I'm told because of the turtles so I wouldn't change it.

Serigerme has a lovely quaint town, with market on sunday definalty get your cheap bargains here.

Lovely views from every angle, lots of mountains.

Serigarme is a small village but has enough shops, bars and restuarants there. The Sunday marketys is good and has a lot of bargins to get, you get better deals with English £10 notes so take plenty.

We knew before we arrived that the complex was in the middle of knowhere, but to be honest this wasnt to much of a problem. The reports I read of the beach before I arrived were poor, but to be honest I don't think it was that bad, not that I would recommend this for a beach based holiday.

We only ventured out of the hotel twice and to the beach once.

I fully recommend a visit to the Sunday market in Sarigerme where you can haggle for some 'cheap quality crap' as they themsleves call it. It is actually reasonably good quality fake branded items at extremely cheap prices (if you're good at haggling). One tip - visit in the early afternoon as the morning is exremely busy.

The beach was dissapointing as it was pebbly and the sea was rough. My kids didn't like it so we didn't go back.

Beach -not very nice-shingle and definitely no golden sand
in view. Taxi to Sarigerme costs 7 liras -few shops and tavernas plus Sunday market.

Book any tours through local agency -Sarigerme Tours -much cheaper that First Choice tours plus you will be supporting local economy.

We did a lovely boat trip -stopping at different bays etc.
Turkey is lovely -this was our second time and we will return for more.

Sagrimere is a small village and the market is good fun especially haggling for cheap fakes. Good to go out and have drink in one of the bars, as the people are very hospitable.
Don't bother taking any turkish currency, as english is taken everywhere, and you get better value when paying this way rather than lira.
Beach is poor, but i recommend the speed boat trip for 2 hours, where the lunatic driver takes you along the coast to some fab areas, caves, private beachs for a swim in the clear sea, and even lets everyone have a go at driving. Also the trip to the Mud-baths and Dalyan Beach is a great day out, but they could do with leaving out the last stop off to buy carpets! Book these direct on the beach or village as they are much cheaper
