We stayed at the Imperial Palace from 21-28 April and got an excellent price for air/hotel through Expedia.
We were allocated a room on the 14th floor overlooking the pool and facing Caesar's Palace and the strip. It was in a nice, quiet location. Rooms which face Harrah's Carnival Court have to suffer the loud music which goes on until 2am.
The room was large and clean with a king size bed, TV and a small balcony. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a bath with shower over and a sink. There was complimentary soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and shower cap.
There is an ice machine near the elevators on each floor.
The hotel has 2700 rooms, 10 restaurants (none of which we tried), 10 bars and a large casino. We found the complimentary drinks service while playing to be very good.
This is one of the less elegant hotels in Las Vegas and also one of the cheapest. As it is bang in the centre of the Strip it cannot be beaten for location and price.
We liked it so much we have booked to return again in November.

This hotel is great, the location is superb, we even had a room overlooking Ceasers.
Entertainment is excellent, the dealertainers are fantastic, especially the Elvis look a like.
This hotel is defo a must, the staff are extremely friendly.
It's a very basic Hotel, but for the time your in your room, what does it matter.

Visited California-Nevada summer 2005 and arranged our whole trip online. Drove to Vegas from San Diego (a comfortable if dull day's drive), stayed just 2 nights and will definitely return. At $75/night + tax, the Imperial Palace has to be the biggest bargain in Vegas.
Found the hotel easily in the centre of the Strip; valet parking, all sorted. Got checked in by Sarah, who was very jolly and helpful. Found our way up to our room on the 14th floor. Lovely, really fresh and calm, all taupe and cream with a bamboo motif.
Only problem was the air-con unit wouldn't come on. I rang downstairs and Sarah answered, and immediately despatched an engineer who sorted it, much to our relief in the 100+ desert.
We overlooked Harrah's, and this is noisy, but we weren't going to bed early, we were in Vegas baby!!
The food options within the hotel/casino are excellent, we tried the following:
Dinner at the Rib House; $51.29 inc tip.
Emperor's Buffet: For $11.95 each plus tax, you got a wide choice; salad, soup, pot roast, carvery, cake, fruit, ice-cream, all sorts!
The breakfast buffet is similarly good.
