Our 4th Thomson cruise and most certainly the best with the combination of Norwegian scenery and ships company. The standard was set right from the very top with the BBC (Big Bald Captain) our Norwegian skipper. If anyone tells you Norwegians don't have a sense of humour, ignore them.

Ship cleanliness, as always, was immaculate. Cabins, public rooms, decks, eating areas, etc., constantly, and thoroughly, cleaned

Food was excellent. Meridian Rest as good a standard of food and service as you will get anywhere, and the midnight buffet needs to be seen to be believed. Lido food just as good, but this time self service so every opportunitey to over indulge. Staff in both areas first class. Glad to see sterlisation units at the entrance to all foods areas, as well as when you you returned on board. Thomson doing their bit, the rest is up to your fellow passengers.

On board entertainment superb and very varied. Not just the usual evening variety shows but plays, musicals, cabaret, audio plays, lectures (very interesting indeed), plus all the usual 'audience participation' shows. A really varied selection, and a 'very well done' to all the entertainment staff.

From this you might have gathered we enjoyed ourselves, and you would be right. Any criticisms? Yes. Wish it had been longer than a week.

Has Celebration got over her troubles of a year ago? From what we could see the answer is YES

We had a delux cabin, very good size, and the cabin boy did a very good job keeping it clean. The bathroom was badly in need of an update.
The food was poor, works canteen style, not a great deal of variety.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The on board entertainment was ok, a bit like Blackpool on the sea.
The ship was like a ferry, infact, DFDS & Fjordline have better food, and pretty good entertainment. Only our second cruise, our first was with Ocean Village, a brilliant ship.

We got to the ship at 20;30 hours, it seemed strange that very few people were on board, but we went into the nearest bar and had a drink, within Five minutes a member of the entertainment staff came over and said, I bet you are tired after being stuck in a hotel for Six hours after your flight, I said I did not know what he was talking about, he then said the ship had been closed down so that it could be sanatized because they had a virus on board, I thanked him for the information,

any way for the Ten nights we cruised the ship was constantly cleaned and we had no problems.

Food on the ship was first class, I did not like the idea of open dining but on our fist visit for dinner the waiters stood at the door and found us a table for Two with out problem, I was very pleased with this so I gave them a good tip,the next night when we came out of our cabin I could see the waiters at the far end of the passage as we got closer to the restaurant a waiter came over and said our table was ready when we are and that's how it stayed for the entire cruise, first class service from first class waiters, (Jules and Henry great waiters).
other restaurants provided a good selection, and quality was first class.

For all the none smokers keep well away from Hemingways bar and casino we never made it past the door for smoke but every other bar on the ship was OK

All the ships staff made it a pleasure to be on board
and would often wave to us even if we were on the opposite side of the ship.

entertainment was in my opinion far better than the Airtours ships, and the staff even looked as if they enjoyed the job.

The captain was George Delagramatacas from the Airtours fleet.

Tax free shops on board, Jamesons £9.99. Morgans Rum £9.99.Chivas £18.99
400 cigs £19.50. in the bars Bodds £2.20 lager £2.50

The ship is not the most modern Cruise liner we have been on, however it has every facility you need for a fun and entertaining cruise.

Furnishings and fittings are in excellent condition and was very clean throughout. For the whole time on board staff were busily ensuring strict hygeine control, wiping handles and stair rails. As you eneter the Ship or Self service Lido passangers are asked to sanitise their hands.....all great stuff.

We had a suite so cannot speak too much about other accomodation, however we met people on board who were very satisfied with their accomodation too.

Only problem we experienced was a blocked loo on a couple of occassions (same day) However withing 10 mins of reporting it, a CREW of men turned up and quickly sorted it out.

Now to the crew. These were predominantly Philipino throughtout. Their motivation and training was a credit to the management. Permanant smiles and very friendly, with excellent service with no stuffy pretension. Always going out of their way to do that little bit extra with no expectation of anything in return.....oh to have english staff as good!!!!

The entertainment was as good as any West End show we have been to. The team here did other duties on board as part of their activities. Again, plenty of caring enthusiasm.

We ate in both the Lido Self service (Lunch times and one night) and the main restaurant. The quality of the food was very good. The menu was varied every day, and although portions in the Restaurant were not larege, they were more than adequate, especially as the meals were in fact 5 courses. Wine prices were reasnoable (I can email the bar menue to anyone who wants it.)

We went on the Colouful Coast trip onboard the Celebration from the 10th to the 17th March 2006. We would give the whole trip 10 out of 10. Our 1st cruise & it won't be the last! The staff & crew could not have done any more, they are all brilliant, everything done with a genuine smile. Food was very, very good, entertainment was 1st class. The cabins were kept immaculate. The weather was absolutely perfect, came back with a lovely tan. We met some great people & can honestly say if you are thinking of booking a cruise, don't think about it, do it! Absolutely great value for money. A wonderful way for us to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary.

Just returned from the colourful coast cruise 24 - 31 Mar 06 on Thompson Cerebration. We had an excellent time. The ship could not be faulted, all service from the cabin stewards upwards was outstanding. Steven Guy, Cruise Director and his entertainment team are worthy of particular mention. The shows were first class entertainment from start to finish and the people who perform in them are to be congratulated on their excellent performance. The Celebration is a happy ship so if you want a happy holiday we would recommend it.

We have recently returned from the colourful coasts cruise and were very pleased with the whole week.
If I had to pick out one niggling little thing, it would be the lack of entertainment for our 1 year old.
Our 4 year old was well catered for with the kids club offering up to 6 hours a day entertainment for him.
Also, the barriers on the promenade deck were an absolute nightmare with big gaps as it would have been very easy to turn your back on a young child for a second only to hear a splash! - Warning to all parents on the celebration, watch out for this !

Everything else was tip top! The service from the room attendants through to the reps were impeccable, smiles seemed absolutely genuine and all staff went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. Cabins were clean and roomy (even the ones in the bowels of the ship were great).
Avoid the mistral restaurant, there is a £15 surcharge to eat in there and it is pretty much the same food as the Meridian served. Go all inclusive, it really really is worth the extra money by a long shot.
Try an electric lemonade cocktail mmmmmm!!!

Well words alomost fail me! What fantastic value for money. Booked about 5 weeks before and got a terrific price with no extra for flying from local airport or outside cabin. The cabin was on the lowest deck but was in the middle and actually a 4 berth so was very spacious and quiet; like everywhere else on the ship was kept scrupulously clean by the efficient and friendly staff. Beware though of cabins at the end of the deck which can be noisy.

The food was of a very high standards for the price paid. The Meridian restaurant with 6 course menus for dinner each night and again friendly waiters made Mistrals somewhat redundant as far as we were concerned and we did not feel the need to pay the extra £15 each. Every meal was excellent.

The Lido buffet was actually better for breakfast than the Meridian in my opinion and at any other time of the day served a great variety of well prepared and tasty food, hot and cold. Despite the ship being full, there were never any queues.

The entertainment was of a VERY high standard, the young boys and girls working extremely hard. Highlights were the afternoon play performed on the day at sea, songs from "Chicago" , which were better than those in the film, and the six minute Can-Can - incredible!! The other guys and gals who provided a variety of quizzes and games were all very friendly and efficient - we felt personal friends of them all. We won the ship version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and had £30 taken off our shipboard account!
Also of note were the classical piano/violin duo who were incredibly talented. The only minor complaint I had was the almost impossible task of locating a lounge area free from piped music!

The Canary Islands itinery was very good with only one day at sea, although bad weather prevented us from visiting Agadir - in fact the weather was pretty dreadful throughout. We went ashore at all ports of call but as usual with cruises, avoided the shore excusions which were all overpriced.

The range of drinks was very good and we did upgrade to all inclusive, well worth it if only to escape from the endless signing of bills. A tip - extra is charged for licquer coffees but you can get coffee and licquers separately free on all inclusive - just mix your own.

We did not meet anyone who had any complaints at all and that says everything! If you are thinking of taking a cruise - don't hesitate - book on the Celebration - you won't regret it (unless you are one of the small but growing band of holiday makers who just look for minor things to complain about.
