we have also booked a kids den, i have to admit that the playstation was a minor incentive, but more important to us is whether we can shut doors between our part of the room and the childrens part, does anybody know if this is the case.

We had a double family room and it has the sliding door between the living room and the bedroom. The sofa in the living room turns into a bed (which I found horrendously uncomfortable) Would probably be okay for kids though. There is also a seperate single sofa bed in there too, albeit its a bit cramped when thats opened out too. The tv is in in there too so you might be as well changing to a family room and taking your own ps out there and letting the kids sleep in that part.

On our second week the hotel was at full capacity and the sunbed situation was starting to get a bit of a nightmare. Hence why I said I wouldn't like to be out there at peak season.

 Hope someone can answer a quick question?

I read somewhere that the pegasos palace shop likes to have british sterling as payment as a first option, then lira if not! what change do you get for the sterling is it the same or is it in lira?

Also to anyone who has come back or still out there, how much spending money is needed for 2 weeks? there are 4 of us, (2 + 2)

Its our first AI and hoped not to take much if any!

also is bottled water included in the AI?

Nonnielane - we are going on Monday 5th June and we're taking 500 quid's worth of Lira and 500 sterling. This should be WAY over the odds for an AI, but at the same time it means we'll be able to enjoy a number of trips out and maybe do some shopping while there. We're 2 + 2 as well.

5 sleeps to go....

Thanks for the info.

Can anyone tell me what the pool table etc takes - is it sterling or lira?

Hi Sacko - we leave from Glasgow so look forward to seeing you at the bar for a little refreshment when we get to the other end!

I have just been to the shops and bought a whole load of insect repellent so hopefully we will be be safe from the dreaded mozzies!

Are the trips suitable for toddlers?

I have asked for a room with a pool view - is this a mistake?!

Nonnielane, you can have bottled water in the main buffet restaurant with meals for no extra charge. We just asked for a bottle, the water brings it and opens it and pours a small amount out of the bottle (on most occasions). We then just took the remainder of the bottle out of the restaurant for use overnight etc.

If you get to the restaurant quite early on the evening, most tables actually have a bottle on the table, but if you get a little later you'll have to ask for it, say if the tables have been set for a second time. So that was a nice surprise.

As for spending money. I initially took £300 which we spent on trips, the odd packet of popcorn but mostly at the market. I then lifted out another £100 for spending at the market (stopped at the bank in Dalyan, thanks to Mustafa). We brought back plenty from the market mind you.

I spent very little money in the hotel. I bought popcorn twice at a cost of 4 lira each. I bought a magazine and a couple of packets of sweets from the shop, which I paid for in Lira. I paid £20 for photographcs from the onsite photographer. Oh and another £20 for a portrait from the onsite artist!!!! (forgot to mention he was there and he's very good!).

Apart from that the only other money we spent there was £2 every second night for the evening kids club events.

thanks scottishmum for your help. has set my mind at rest as the cost was getting a bit out of hand.

what market did you go too?

Have you decided where your going next year?

We just went to the market at Sarigmerme, this was more than sufficient for what we were looking for. Mainly we bought T Shirts for dh, sandals, winter jacket & some shirts for mywee monster, few tops for me. All a great bargain. The prices and items were similar to what I bought in Marmaris last year, only with the joy of not quite as much hassle.

Don't quite know what we're doing next year. I think our main holiday will be in Florida but I'm hoping to grab a little week at the end of the year back at the PP. :D
Glad to have put your mind at ease a little.

Thanks for the info Scottishmum. It must have been good if you are considering going back again.

I am starting to look forward to it now, what a difference a year can make.

What are the mixers like for the vodka - i usually take Irn Bru with mine so there is no chance of that being available!!!!

OK. I had a call from customer services at First choice who advised that I was misreading the brochure and that you only get one tell in the whole room and that if you want it in the kids rooms you are supposed to lift it through and then when you want to watch it in the sitting room you lift it back!!! OK stop laughing she said that seriously. She kept saying I was reading the brochure wrong and that they had never had any other complaints about this. She then gave me the administration number - 0870 900 2122 which I then rang and spoke to a nice lady who agreed that she had never heard of anything so daft. I also asked what happens if whilst moving the telly you drop it and she agreed with. Unfortunately for us it is not worth us changing our booking as they only have the large family room left which although it is £100 cheaper means the kids sleep in the lounge and I don't think the saving is worth it but when we were booking we could have booked a smaller family room and saved ourselves £250 odd quid! I am now about to start writing a letter complaining and the lady has said she is going to tell the marketing team that the brochure is misleading so that it doesn't happen again. I may contact someone legally to find out how we stand on compensation as I think this is pretty bad - we didn't want the playstation but we did want the kids - 2 and 5 - to have their own telly.
good luck anyone else who is going to change!

Sorry if this has been asked already - but the forum search facility is not working...

Is there internet access at the resort - at least some sort of internet cafe - if so how much does it cost and does it get busy? Also, is there any wireless internet access at the resort, if so how much does it cost? If anyone has used it some feedback would be great. Unfortunately running a small IT Support business means that I do not like to be too far away from the internet for remote customer support (just for emergencies you understand - as I really really need a good holiday :D )

Looking forward to going 19th June for a week. See you soon.

I have re-read our brochure and the information on-line and I am not reading it wrong. It definatley states the room is as standard but with a seperate kids themed room with TV & Playstation. I have rang FC and they will call me back.

Copied from their website:
Standard rooms sleeping up to 3, with a twin or double room, sliding doors leading to a lounge area with a double sofa bed, satellite TV, air conditioning (18hrs daily, in bedroom only), bath, shower, WC, hairdryer, safe*, mini fridge and balcony or terrace.
Family rooms sleeping up to 4 or 5 are as above (3rd and 4th bed is a double sofa bed, 5th bed is a single sofa bed, suitable for a child 2-12 yrs).
Family rooms with Kids' Den are available at a supplement. Facilities are as per family rooms sleeping up to 2 adults and 2 children, but have a separate themed kids' den with bunk beds, TV and Playstation2.

How clear is that?

Meiklej - we will see you in the bar and get you one in - don't think it will be Irn Bru though!

There is another forum set up regarding Sarigerme and the Gocek and the Mud Baths has been recommended as suitable for small kids by Mustafa so we are looking at booking these with Mustafa when we get there.

Thanks everyone who has got back for taking the trouble to provide us all with feedback.

We have also booked a kids den as I insisted on this when FC cancelled us at Kos ABC however it seems it may not be as good as it sounded!

I am sure we will get over it though if the sun is shining and the beer is flowing!

Hi McFester. I too read and re-read the brochure and the lady at administration agreed that it is very misleading and has said to write a letter in but that the brochure is definately misleading however there is no telly in the kids room. I think this is a bit of a con but it is not worth us changing to a family room because it is a large family room and we only save £100 and it means that the kids have to have a sofa bed in the lounge. If it had been a normal family room and we would have saved the original 250 quid then I would downgrade. What annoys me the most is when we were booking we changed dates to a date in August so that we could get a kids den rather than a family room and now the holiday has cost us a lot more! I will write a letter but doubt I will get much joy!
Good luck McFester if you do the same.

Haffenden family, FC have just rang who spoke with the accomodation helpline and they have said the facilities are as per the brochure. They have taken the name of the person we spoke with and told me to take the brochure with me to complain if required when there.

So, we should have seperate TV in the kids den as advertised.

If anyone out there at the moment who can confirm this or if you are about to go, can you let us know how you get on?

Cheers
