Hi,
Hi can anybody tell me if there is a laundrette at pp? Thanks
There isn't a launderette at the pp, but there is a laundry service. However, I hear its extortionate, about 3 euros per item, whether it be a pair of trousers or a pair of knickers!
Does anyone know if there any recent pictures of p/p as the one's in the Gallery are quite old now and where I could find them.
Thank you
Nia

Re Pharmacy:
We got back last Monday and my husband had to see the Dr about an ear infection out there. She cost £30 for a consultation and £15 for antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and ear drops. A friend of ours had a bad back and was getting anti-inflam drugs without a consultation.
Just before we left the water temp in the pools fell drastically and one of the reps told us that the water was being changed to try and get rid of the ear infections. A nurse advised us in future to take loads of Nurofen and at the first twinge of an infection, take these for 24-48 hrs and this should clear it up before it gets a grip.
Have a good holiday - we did!

With regard to the split between the two sites, I was told by FC that the Tropical will become adults only next year, hence the split in the brochure. Everybody will be able to use the pools in the day, but not the restaurants and facilities after a certain time. We were told this y one of the FC office staff in the UK.
well folkes we arrived back from the tropical on friday morning and boy are we glad to be back. it was the worst holiday that i have ever had and ive been to a few dodgy places. i was very disappointed in the standards at this hotel. dont think that the place is 4* more like 2*. the hotel itself was super but some the staff and the food left a lot to be desired. ive never been on a holiday with so little choice for the hot food selection. for 5 days in a row there was veal, veal, veal and more veal. out of the 9 bain maries in the tropical restaraunt there was pasta, sauce for pasta, chips, potatoes, rice, 2 veg dishes and 2 meat dishes which in my opinion is very poor as you were limited for choice. great salad and fruit selection but we all need a balanced diet and if they were to put as much effort into the hot food as they do the salads and fruit then i would have had no cause to complain i dont know if any one else who was there the same time as us felt the same way. while we were the there was a lot of complaints ,i myself have complained in resort and im in the process of writing my letter to first choice. ive also e-mailed iberostar to vent my anger at them as they were responsible for my bad holiday. dont see why i should pay 2500.00 for our holiday for 3 and then have to travel into town to feed my family.
In pp buffet restauturant there was usually say 2 veg choice, rice potatos then a couple of diff meat dishes (some days they were repeated but i just had something i hadnt already had) then off the hot plate where they did fresh cooking there was usually chips then 5 other things such as pasta and 2 sauces, lasagne, battered fish, fresh, chicken ,beef, veal, stir frys, things like beef and mixed peppers, spaghetti and vegetables in sauces, fajitas there was so much choice. Then there was a mexican night where there was chilli, tacos, enchiladas fajitas etc etc (my fav night in the 2 weeks, turkish night, chinese night (we missed that one because we chose to eat at the steak restaurant that night.
I had heard a few people saying the food was repetative when we were there but i dont know how because like i said above although say one dish might have been the same as another night all the others were always different apart from the obvious like chips (which i manged to avoid all holiday) so if you liked a wide variety of food then when i was at PP there was no need to eat the same evening meals.
I am curious as to wether the PT has been like this all season or just when you were there? Did you go over and try the PP buffett restaurant to see if it was the same? I presumed both buffett restaurants were exactly the same....obviously not.
Hope you get somewhere with your complaint good luck.
Vicky
vicky06 we went over to the pp just to see if it was the same and i couldn,t believe just how different the pp was the buffet was so much better in the pp. we went to the a la cartes and the steak house but just to be nosey we had a look in at the buffet after we were finished our meals to see if there was better food than the nights when we were eating there and im afraid there wasn,t. for 4 or 5 nights in a row there was veal then 4 or 5 nights of roast beef in gravy and then a couple of nights of chicken. turkish night on thursday and one night was mexican. in the 2 weeks we never seen chinese in the pt. i was sooooo disappointed my travel agent heard me on friday as when i went in to book our hols for this year she persuaded us to give the pt a try. 2 years ago we went to the hv costa del sol and we were going in to book for that one again as the place was fantastic. decided to try pt as we thought that there wouldn,t be much difference but costa del sol was better by far.
me my wife , son and his girlfreind and a couple more are off to the pegasus palace on saturday from manchester after reading all the reviews im looking forward to it , i searched the internet for weeks on the bargain holiday sites but every time i found something and checked the reviews on this site i decided not to book any of them even though they were cheaper than the palace. but i think (well hope ) the reviews on here will see us enjoying ourselves. just one question might seem silly to some but it is a pet hate of mine do they serve drinks in glasses . ive been to so many all inclusives where plastic cups are used. thank you dave
dave, when we were at the pp in july it was plastic cups in the beach and pool bars, but glasses in the restaurants, we didn't use the lobby bar so can't comment on what they used there. I thought it was fairly sturdy reusable type plastic cups but i just asked my husband (he wasn't too happy that i rang him at work especially to ask but there you go) he reckons they were just standard plastic cups. may have all changed since july anyway.
if you sit at any bars inside you are given gasses but at the outside bars it is sturdy plastic ones but they are ok, i think its because its hard to get every piece of broken glass up and everyone walks around barefooted in the day also glasses could get dropped/thrown in the pool
my husband just rang back to say that it was sturdy glasses, he remembers seeing them wash them up! I knew I was right!
