yes i dont mind it around the pool etc and the beach it would be silly to have glasses with children running around , i just like to have glasses on an evening .
dave
yes i know what you mean but you will get a glass with your evening meal and the plastic cups arnt as bad as you think, when we were there we saw ladies taking glass wine glasses out of the dinner hall to the pool bar and the barstaff refilled them for them but i would'nt risk it with loads of kids about but each to their own
Hi all. just got back from pp on monday. the place is massive and found it hard to find my way around at first. it was very hot. it was very full on the first week so you found it hard to find a sunbed, but the second week it was really quiet and had no problems. the buffet bar in the pp is nice. we ate different things every night. the mosquitos are a big problem especially for me. i have had over 40 bites and they all got infected. i have had an allergic reaction to them. i used everything you can think of to stop it. i had to go see the doctor twice an it cos a lot. you can ask for medicines without the consultation because that costs more than the medication. i am now on antibiotics from home to get rid of all the infection an cannot go back to work yet as my feet are too swollen. we went on a couple of trips with mustafa, the jeep safari was fantastic and tried to go again but he was full. i would not take any child under 5 on this trip. we also went on the 12 islands boat trip and that was lovely, so relaxing. if you do book the jeep safari please ask how many jeeps are going because sometimes thet are only sending 1 jeep out and you do not get the same effect. we gad 3 jeeps and was fantastic. you get very wet so put on clothes that dry out eassily and make sure you have all your things in a waterproof bag. the pp complex is lovely and cannot fault it on cleanliness. we had a jaccuzi suite which was nice. the housekeepers come in everyday to clean your room. the onlt thing i did not like around that area is that on a night there is a very loud disco going on over at the pt and it does not stop until 1 in the morning and we were kept awake with it until it finished. we met up with lill girl and her family and bacame good friends through this forum. they are a lovely family and will be keeping in touch. we also met up with vicky b and her family and had the odd chat with them. if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Accomodation spotless..stayed in kids den (6 + 8 yr olds)..great.. sliding screen doors so they had own bunk bed and playstation.had to go to rep for it...np's..might be worthwhile taking a game of your own along as choice limited..
Complex great lots of pools..obviously including the tropical side as well..there was the bed isssue on first week as very busy 31aug onwards..though there are small pools were there are only 10/12 beds around..
Beach right on doorstep..though not pebble free we liked it ...though sea does drop deep quite quickly...no drinks here just a place to chill..
Food..well as we are vegetarian I can only speak from our perspective...first week fine ..good selection..though not great...start of second week at bit repetitive..at end overall good to average...tried tropical side and to be honest the palace was far better...
Drink...well fab got all the usual suspects coke sprite etc.water in large dispensers....efes beer fab..raki..lol..great but beware...didnt try shorts but seemed to have all angles covered..
For us thought place was great..the kids clubs are great running throughout the day to give your kids variety in day if required..plus giving parents a little break to boot......
If there was any negativity to post its not really about the village..its the PARENTS who let their kids run wild at meal times and throughout the complex and the lack of manners as is no please or thank you's ...didnt affect us just found it bizzarre how blissfully unaware of how badly behaved they were.
Mosquitos...well tried the skin so soft..all of us got bitten quite bad...tried their sin kov..brilliant ..not a bite after..plus it costs very little £2 ish..applied liberally each night np's ..
So on reflection Great complex..nice turkish staff..first choice staff great...
Enjoy!
Glad you had a great holiday, just a question for you I've got a kids den booked what are they like got 2 lads 4&9
Thanks
Also barrbarr,in kids den how many controllers do you get with playstation,if only 1 will have to bring 1 from home, thanks, glad you enjoyed holiday off on monday so cant wait
1 other thing take a quite a few pound coins..these are for bugs bunny bash..chocolate party and sweetie bingo..lol..naturally for evening kids entertainment nights....other nights are free..such as movie night etc..
you can use tropical side for these nights.. as with anything...food... drink pools etc..enjoy

dos anyone know whats happend to mustafa not heard of him for a long time
i imagine that mustafa is just crazy busy with all the tours he does, the day we went out with him he was with us from 9 am til about 5 pm, and then was off on another tour at 6 pm til midnight or later
I spoke to him on MSN last week and he basically just said he's working every hour god sends so is exhausted when he gets home and too tired to post.
I understand the beach with the hotel is not safe for swimming , however, someone on this forum mentioned that there was another beach a bit further down and I was wandering if this one was safe to swim in?
From what I recall when I was at the PP last year, the beach selves downwards quite sharply just after you walk in to the water.
Yes, the beach is long and there are some German hotels at the other end but I don't know if the beach shelves at that end or not. We took one look at the beach last year and stayed by the pool anyway as it was full of builders junk when we were there.
Hi Duncan,
Sarigerme beach is a few lira away in a taxi, it costs 1 lira to get in, but this includes the childrens mini zoo that is there and showers etc. Its a beautiful beach and although I only went in a few feet it didn't seem to slope as bad and didn't seem as rough as outside the pp. Its kind of the same stretch of beach, but there's like a big rock (almost an island) that seperates the two beaches.
Worth a visit. Its not a hugely busy beach, but busy enough with watersports etc, its beautiful.

7 more sleeps for me!
Or forgot to say, you can walk to Sarigerme beach, but it took me about an hour and a half with Cameron in tow. We went onto the pp beach, went right, up and round the big rock island thing (there's a bridge), along the beach of the German hotel (The Aldiana), onto the beach of the Iberotel Sarigerme Park (which the security guard kindly escorted us through ) and then the next stretch of beach is Sarigerme beach.
Thanks for that it's a big help, it's nice to be able to take the stress away before you get there!
I have a 7year old and a 3 year old so probably the dolmus would be better for us aswell.
Luck you only having a few days to go I have got 9 months
I hope you have a fab time and look forwards to hearing how it went when you get back.
Thanks
Nia
we are turkey virgins, going out on the 19th oct from gatwick staying on the tropical side, looking forward to it, see you there, nick sam and mack
Just got back from the palace yesterday and thought i would tell you all how it went.
Well it was fantastic and i am already looking to book next year.
The room was very clean and suprisingly big. We had the sliding doors from our room to the kids do that was nice.
The food was great, the kids and hubby ate well every night and never got fed up with any of the food. Me been a vegi didnt get much choice at all but to be honest i had built myself up for having nothing to eat all 2 weeks so was nice that i was wrong. The kids loved the freash bread with the meals and loved the puddings.
The kids clubs we fantastic we hardly saw the kids form 10am - 11pm matthew was in the sylvesters club(3-5yrs) and keri was in the wavelenth, we paid for the chocolate parties ect and they were well worth the money and i would reccomend to anyone going that they give them a go. keri also did the high ropes which cost£10.00 but again well worth it, she came back buzzing.
We also put matthew in swim kids, which we did have a few problems with this but this was mainly due to illness, but they did compensate for this.
Keri also did tennis lessions and these were worth every penny, sam her instructor worked very closely with her helping her all the time(she has hand/eye co-ordination problem) she enjoyed it that much that we also bought a tennis racket of sam and she is joining our locl club.
The Reps and hotel staff were great they were always there if you needed them, and always polite.
The mozzies again were a slight problem and i did have to visit the doctor while there but just asked for the cream so i didnt have to pay consultaion fee but this still cost me 45ytl
So i think that covers it all, i spent a fortune in town lol and only just managed to esscape excess charges hehe. And i will be back next year, now i know the the hotel isnt splitting(spoke to rep yesterday who comfirmed) the hotels are staying as on village all facilities can be used the only thing is, is that the palace is for all "british Booked" people and the tropical is for "international Booked" people so dosent really change anything for me as i prefer the palace.
If anyone wants to know anything just give us a shout.
Vikki xxxxx
Glad to hear you had a wonderful time Vikki. That was exactly the way we felt when we got back, we just wanted to get booked up again as soon as possible.
