i know there have been some bad reports but i think you will be plesently supprised how nice the place is, cathrine and her family have been twice and ive just booked our third trip there for next july so it cant be bad! the only reason i would'nt go in oct again is that i like the pools to be a bit warmer than they were, apart from that it was great.
oh and we have stayed at the palace and the tropical and thought both hotels were lovely
Just wanted to say that I would NOT recommend you changing your money in the hotels as The Exchange rate is much lower than outside. If the money you will change is much Come down to the Postoffice in Sarigerme so You will save plenty of money. The Postoffice is located in the middle of the street or take a Dolmus (Bus Service in Turkey) from Pegasos Hotels to Ortaca which is about 20 minutes drive away. You can find lots of banks there.
The Best Curreny for cheap things is Lira but for expensive things like gold is GBP
Please feel free to ask,
Mustafa
We stayed at the PP last June just after it opened and thought it was great (contrary to the many hundreds of posts by others at around that time). We are going back soon and want to contact them with a room request but do not have their telephone number or email address. First Choice have only been able to give us part of the number which seems a bit odd and were not able to give us an email address.
Can anyone help with this?
Although I never got an answer from them when I tried.
Well there you go Mustafa, I didn't know there was a post office in Sarigerme. I will recommend that from now on. Lol

are you back yet mwvickers, its gone very quiet on here now the season is coming to an end. would be nice to here what you thought of the place though
Mozzies - never saw one or heard of people getting bit while we were on holiday, are they still bad at the PP end of May/beggining of June.
Will the temperature be about the same Marmaris/Side (Had great weather this year)
Were the pools freezing, our pool warmed up in the afternoon but the PP pools all look massive.
Is there a fridge in your room, I know its all inclusive but im a cider drinker and took some of my own when we went this year.
Will all the activities be avialble in May (football coaching, ropes etc) or is it supply on demand.
Thanks
I can answer a few questions of yours.
Mozzies :
There is a Turkish spray called SINKOV which protects you from the mosquitos. The smell of the spray keeps them away from the skin. As soon as you come to Sarigerme buy a SINKOV (You can find it in hotel) and before just the weather gets dark use it so You will be okay. Some sprays from Britian does not work. But Sinkov really does work. I use it myself as well because i get bitten badly when i dont use it
Weather
Sarigerme has got a typical Mediterranean Climate; hot and dry in summer and rainy and lukewarm in winter. The Same climate Marmaris
It is really lovely end of May and in June
If you have any question please feel free to ask,
Hope you have a nice holiday in Turkey
Mustafa
The place is unbelievable and the food was fantastic. None of us were ill. Mossies are a problem. I didn't hear of anyone being ill. Tweety Creche were a god-send and loooked after our 2yr old.
If you want some info..
feel free to PM me.
Mark.
Nice to see you got back ok, think we were getting worried that we hadn't heard from you lol.
Great to hear you had such a fab holiday!!!!

Pay any trips, creche fees or other things to first chice in pounds. Because if you want to pay in lira they use 3 lira to the pound whereas you will only get 2.6 to the pound at banks etc.
Personally you can get by without any lira whatsoever.
Nearest cash point machine was 20 pound round trip away.
Another point, we stayed in the PP but we frequented the Tropical. Out of the 2 I'd say the PP has the edge. Particularly when it comes to the food and general ambience of hotel bar. However saying this the Tropical had the better pools for smaller kids. If you are staying in the Tropical I'd venture over to the PP for the buffets.
Although I found it harder to get a bed at the kids pool in the tropical than the palace because it is busier. We did tend to frequent the palace more on our last visit as I seemed to prefer the "ambience" of the palace. However, this could have been because we'd stayed there before and knew it better than the tropical.
when we went to the p/p in july we had already stayed in the p/t in oct 05 and loved it so we thought we would spend most of our time there but we liked the p/p so much we only visited the p/t when the kids wanted to use the pools there which was'nt that often really.
Anyway, I thought I'd let the forum know my own thoughts on this, dare I say it, at times controversial Hotel ?
Lets cut to the chase, anybody who whinges about the rooms, food and entertainment must have very high expectations ! Yes this is a 4star, but as we all know, this doesn't mean the same standard as our 4star.
Rooms - We had a jacuzi suite, very spacious however the decor (considering the place is relatively new) must have been designed by an Interior Designer who had a personality transplant However, it suited our needs perfectly and we had not gone on Holiday to spend 90% of our time in our room!
Food - Always a lively debate. In my opinion for the volume of food being produced, it was actually very good. Okay Breakfast lacked a bit of variety, but with Lunch, Dinner and Snack Bars serving a large selection of food, I find it impossible for people to go hungry. I attend many corporate dinners with similar numbers of guests at UK Hotels owned by DeVere, Hilton, Marriott etc. Believe me the food at the Tropical would beat all the dinners I've had at these establishments.
Entertainment - There is always some thing going on. If you can't find anything to entertain you from their selection, then you need to get out more. Okay the quality of the shows etc wasn't scintilatingly good, they were doing their best and look at how much this is costing you. If you wanted top entertainment, stay at home and go to the West End !
So basically, anybody who doesn't enjoy this resort obviously expects rooms like the Ritz, food from The Savoy plus a different West End blockbuster every night with the original cast members.
For the money, for me, you would have to go along way to find anything better - well done First Choice !
Ps only real gripe was that the restauarant was patently under staffed for both Breakfast and Dinner. Our daily games of hunt the glass or the coffee mug were mildly amusing after the 3rd day
we had a jacuzi suite, which was lovely, spent most of the time just lazing around the palace side kids club pool, only visited the tropical side restaurant once and that was for the first breakfast, the rest of the time we went to the palace side restaurant as it seemed better(bigger and better food), yes it was fun hunting the coffee cups.
kids clubs were brilliant for our mackenzie, entertainment was very good of an evening. best of all was the trip to turtle beach and the dalyan mud baths, we didnt go via first choice, but walked down the road into sarigerme and booked with mustafa at sarigerme tours, i wish we had done more with them, but we only had a week, next time will do the jeep safari and 12 island cruise with them and even the atv quad bikes .
also did the parasailing on the beach for 80 lira, very enjoyable, would recommend this place to anyone, the only downside is the mozzies, place is all marsh and swamplands perfect for the little beggers, we had our own insect repellent, i got bit 7 times the boy none but the mrs has just counted 42 bites(ouch), so i recomment the sinkov thats what all the locals use, gets really bad around 5ish.
anyway will hopefully return next your or the next, any questions then please contact me, cheers nick
During the day we stayed at the pp kids pool and yes they are freezing only ventured in a couple of times kids didn't seem to mind though.
We went to see mustafa and booked jeep safari which was great fun those guys are nuts.
Yes mozzies are a problem I got bit about 30 times but as people have said get some sinkov when you get there.
The weather was great apart from a couple of days when it rained and I didn't find it too bad in the evenings.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, I think most people would really enjoy it and its definetly at least a 4 star.
If you've any questions ask away
Richard
glad you had a good time and are thinking of going back, as you probably already know we went last oct and had a great time and went again in july/aug this year. we thought it was even better in the summer as the pools are lovely and warm but not too warm the weather is fantastic and its still really warm at night when drinking and enjoying the entertainment. we are going again next july and cant wait
hayley
I went on eclipse website earlier on and got quoted £1800 for oct and £2500 for aug both in kids den that was for 2 adults and 2 kids seriously thinking of booking again
Reading the information I realise you have to pay for the soccer school, will this be up and running in May (the week the schools are off) and is it suitable for a 12 year old.
Am I reading it right that archery, trampoling, raft building, ropes etc are included in your all inclusive price, will they be available in May and are there plenty of places.
Thanks
