hi spurs1971

we left 2 days after you got there, sorry to here you never had a good time and yes there are issues that fc have to do things about, but we had a great time never had any thing to complain about except like i said the kids menu.Other than that the hotel was great and the pools were you must admit amazing. We sat round the pool bar every night when we were there and never see any people behaving out of order, but like i said i must of been lucky. It a shame like you say that some people have to behave like that on holiday.glad to say i was,nt one of them.

Got back from Palace this morning.

On the whole i would have to say that this was a great complex, my only gripe with it is it is almost toooo big. Because of it's size it is very difficult to make friends and quite inpersonal, of course some people might prefer that aspect of it.

The food was ok without being fantastic, but i have got to say there is plenty of options so you should not go hungry.

The entertainment we found to be good. I read loads of negative remarks about evening entertainment but imo the entertainment team work there socks off and provided us with some really good shows. Snow White, Wizzard of Oz, Tarzan were particularly good. One of the FC reps in particular (ginger hair) sorry can't remember her name, has a fantastic voice (waisted as a holiday rep).

Cleaning of rooms could not fault.

Cleaning of grounds could not fault, although why do they clean the paths in the early evening when people are walking on them. One lady slipped over last night and my kids did on several occasions.

Beech, black sand and weedy. Normally would spend equal amount of time at beech and pool, but to be honest the pools are sooo good that we didn't want to go to the beech. It does need some work doing to it though, weeds coming through sand etc.

Overall, i have to say it was a good holiday the Turks are friendly and polite. I never encountered bad behaviour, although the people in the room next to ours could have been a bit more respectful when coming back late at night. I would certainly recommend this complex and i do believe it deserves it's star rating but it is big, almost tooo big. :)

we went in the last two weeks in september, and while we enjoyed it,its not a place we would return to. But i think dibbo was a bit unfair to Turkey, the fact is you didnt go to Turkey, you went to the pegasos palace.

in the pegasos complex you could have been anywhere in the world,Spain,Portugal,Greece....even Blackpool on a hot day, i would love to visit Turkey again but not the pegasos palace i mean the real Turkey, the parts of Turkey we saw on the trips we went on. On the mud trip we were passing Dalyan and saw a hotel (dalyan Resort)we would have loved to have stayed at. Ok so it didnt have 17 pools but it appeared to have a charm that the pegasos palace will never have

With respect black knight, i don't think the pp was geared for your age group. It was most deffinatly geared for my family 6 year old + 5 year old. The whole complex is geared towards kids, i would have thought that was obvious from the brochure. We had a brill time. :D

rob the brouchure i read from and booked from stated that the tropical was aimed at adults, did not say anything about it being soley a family hotel...thats why we booked it,we just wanted a relaxing honeymoon, which we did get and i do agree during the day there was not much to do,although my hubby did have a few games of killer darts wich he realy enjoyed, also they said they were playing petanque but unless you were around the speakers ,you did not know where this took place...we did want evening entertainment which we felt there was plenty of,infact we felt we were spoilt for choice...the only fault we found was from 9pm to 11pm you could not get any food unless you paid for it!!!!not good when between this time all the shows were on and everyone was drinking which of course makes you hungry!!!!

we booked the pegasos palace over the telephone off teletext, but even when we read the brochure a few days later it did not say it was more suited to families with children, on the contrary they stressed that the jaccuzzi suites were for adults only.

your right of course it wasnt for our age group, but if we had had our grandkids with us we would have thought it was marvellous, but i wonder if i had been booking an 18-30 holiday would i have been told so, somehow i dont think so.

I do agree it would have been nice to have food between 9pm - 11pm, me and my wife would have enjoyed the chance to have a romantic meal while the kids were in kids club, unfortunatly didn't happen. ah oh...

My comment regarding the brochure and age was not meant to offend. It is clear that with all the kids clubs and activities PP was geared towards kids of all ages, therefore perhaps thats why black knight though the complex lacked charm??

Hi people

Well things have been hotting up on here again even since my review yesterday! I am sorry if someone thought I was jumping on the bandwagon by calling it Butlins in the Sun maybe I was a bit harsh  . Lets just say I thought it was too vast and lacked atmosphere. I did meet some nice people and yes unfortunately I did happen to encounter a lot of swearing and violence. And before you say it no I did not cause it or invite it! HA HA

My children are 8 & 5 and I think this is a great resort for kids but I have had better in a smaller complex and this has also given me time to spend with them as well. I was concerned in the PP about the children going out of my sight as due to the size of the complex they could be easily lost.

I have never been to Turkey before and this will not stop me going back as it is a beautiful country. We got car hire for a day and just explored and it was fabulous. You cannot judge Turkey by PP and PT alone! By the way car hire started from £34 we paid £48 for a hatchback with insurance

I am glad I went as I am sure to an extent, others will because hey you can't have a real opinion until you have sampled it!

ITbarbie id do agree with you that while we did have a brill time, we have had better holidays in smaller hotels due to the fact it feels more intimate and you make more friends.

hiya that entertainment rep with the ginger hair was called hannah and yes she was fab very enthusiastic with a great voice, we were at the tropical in august and have booked to go back again next august :D

They could not sell it to anyone since they, like almost every other big tour operator, do not own any of the properities which they use, they simply rent the accommodation from the owner, e.g. Pegasos.

Hi go best is part of first choice holidays PLC. I think first choice have got a 5 year contract with pegasos for the palace so if they ever wanted to they could pass it over to go best which i doubt will happen but they could.

I was told that they have to put a tender in every year(by a few staff members)and even though they have done brouchures for next year ,they may not even be there!!!dont know how true this is.....
