I am not ancient but have worked in a hospital at the beginning of my career where leeches were used
Antibiotics are only to be taken if you are sure you have bacterial diarrhoea.

Well said Tush.

We never took them the first year we were in Goa and Hubby suffered badly with 'Travelers diarrhoea'
last year he didn't suffer at all. We shall continue taking them because they work for us. Max maybe you don't suffer because you scare the bug away

This is an open public form and I was expressing my opinion - that these tablets are a waste of money.
My opinion is based upon personal experience backed by up by what I have read on the subject - in other words an informed opinion.
I am not in the habit of making rash statements, but I will make one now. - Get on your own bike!
