Definitely the best all inclusive in Sharm El Sheikh is the Hilton Sharks Bay Hotel. Hotel is stunning, food very good, staff friendly, rooms large and clean and a beautiful position. Stunning!! :)

if you shop around you should get a good deal - check out teletext etc.

we have been AI twice so far and we have booked again for this year so that'll be 3 times.

First time we payed around £650pp (based on two adults) 4* that was to Kos for two weeks in June. Great holiday/hotel. Booked through local Lunn Poly.
Second time was to Turkey 4* £900pp (based on two adults). Great hotel/holiday. Booked through JMC Direct. 2 weeks june.
Third time is to Turkey again 5* £629pp (based on two adults). Booked through local Thomas Cook. 2 weeks june.

All of the above prices was everything (i.e. insurance etc etc)

good luck!!

PS: sunstar leisure have loads of all inclusive hotels.

We've done AI for 5 years and wouldn't do anything else. It depends upon your circumstances, though. One critiscism is that you are tied to the hotel for food/sights etc but we've had 2 teenagers who wouldn't leave the pool for love nor money so sightseeing was out. One is so fussy there is no fun to be found in searching out places to eat, in AI there's always something like burger, pizza or chicken for him and a la carte for us (and for 2 weeks I don't care Jamie Oliver!) The cost of 2 weeks AI for 3 of us this time in Turkey 4/5* is just under £2000 that works out at £330 each per week for sun, accom, flights and as much food and drink as you can manage. We never use money except to tip on the last night and for pressies etc. We have found it to be the most cost effective way to holiday. Once it's booked and paid for there is nothing else except personal money to spend so you don't spend the first week "seeing how things work out," waiting to see if you will have enough for the second week. NO budgeting. It's a totally worry free holiday. The kids can soft-drink themselves stupid with no worries about dehydration. It is "horses for courses" but it really suits us.

Hi myonelove

we've been to San Miguel twice (the only place we've done that) and had a FAB time. My husband would have gone again except I wanted to try other places. Was Zorro still there? He was a brilliant entertainer and really got the punters going. Hose at the beach bar was very friendly. The first time we were there one party asked to be moved because it was too quiet and not at all what they wanted! Just goes to show that there's no pleasing some folks. We are on our way to Kusadasi (Turkey) in August and I only hope it's as good otherwise it could be divorce....

Jillym - where do you stay in Turkey?

Hi Pamtutor,

This year we are booked in Princess Ephesus in Kusadasi and next year Suncity Olu Deniz. both have got good reviews and had PM's from people who have been there and loved them so they should be fine. I book early for the free child place. The boywonder is 16 next year so there aren't many AI's that have child places for him.

We've done all-inc 5 times now and even though we don't have children it suits us for our summer hols.

I think a good hotel for teenagers is one we went to in Cyprus 3 years ago, Phaethon Beach Club in Paphos. They had loads of sporting activities which the teenagers joined in with. The food and everything else was good too. Last year we went back to Cyprus and although we didn't stay there again we did visit and it seemed just as good.

We've been AI with teenagers 5 times and the kids enjoyed Puerto San Miguel Ibiza, which is a Thompson Superfamily Hotel, which we've been to twice. My husband and son enjoyed the football pitches, boulle, water polo etc. They do cycling, scuba & sailing lessons - mind you this appeared to be a couple of blokes in their boat shouting instructions in Spanish, alongside the sailboat. We went canoeing a few times. The hotel is clean and the food was very good. The staff were freindly and the entertainment good. They do free child places up to age 16. It is a quiet resort with only 1 pub and a small selection of shops but the beach (complete with banana boat) is just at the bottom of the hotel (plenty of steps though.) There were only 2 lifts last time we were there and the restaurant is on the 7th floor but the view of the bay is spectatular from up there - and it kept us fit if we had to walk. It depends on what exactly you want, there was a family by us who asked to be moved to somewhere livley. My kids were happy mixing with the other youngers and joining in activities. They weren't into disco's or pubs. The hotel is in pine mountains and Ibiza is one of my favourite places. My elder son has "done" the season 3 tmes iand lived in San Antonio and loves it for different reasons than me! It is an island of contrasts - lively and quiet...whatever you want.

Thanks for your replies we too have stayed in Cyprus at a hotel called pathianna (not the Bay, Royal or Beach) this was in Paphos and I must admit had the best food we have had all inclusive along with the daytime entertainment. Kids loved it but the evening entertainment was abit non descript and anyway this hotel seem to have disappeared from all the English Brochures. Just had a quote for a hotel/apartment in Tenerife Playa de las Americas which looks like it has everything although still checking it out it called Ocean Palace anybody any info on this and also is it cheaper to upgrade in resort to all inclusive. when there is the option of self-catering, half board and all inclusive available or to book all inclusive a time of booking. This is a question with regard to all hotels etc.
Thanks
