I really fancy it for next summer holidays end July but we arnt able to book yet until we know if eldest son will be able to go but want an idea of the best price i can get. portland and thomas cook both want around £4700 for 6 of us and cant seem to get a price from airtours for next summer. does anyone have an airtours brochure for next summer that could tell me if its in there :D

Why don't you just bring the band you have, it must only weigh a few gramms & it don't take up any space.
If its the same as they use now, great! If not chuck it in the bin!

It's not in the Airtours Summer Sun, May-October, 1st edition brochure. :(
I have one as that's who I have booked Lykia through.

It only has 3 properties on that side and they are all Gumbet.

Have you tried the rest of the group? Panorama or Direct holidays?
On the back of the brochure it shows a picture of a Turkey only brochure, only thing is I would have thought it would be on their web-site anyway.

The ADR was the hotel I wanted for next year really as I didnt want to go back to Olu just yet. Even going with Portland and an early date in July it was expensive for my party. Good Luck.

hi chris :wave Hmmmm . Airtours have it for this year but the only 2 so far ive found it with for 2008 are portland/thomson and thomas cook .also travel republic but no price yet for next year. checked direct holidays but not panorama so I will check there .Ive emailed ADR but Im pretty sure i had a price off them direct last year and it worked out more than the package price. also looking at the hemera + with all my hassle over our easter week in nuweiba ive also been tempted to change that to Summer for 2 weeks.

too many decisions too make :( and our finances are c r a p at the moment

Going as early as 18.7.08, ADR was 3.6K for the 4 of us in 2 basic rooms (not sea view) I'm sure it's nice but that seems an awful lot of money.

If you know you definately want Turkey for 08, you could always just snap up the the cheap flights that are on offer at the moment with Ageanflights and worry about getting the accommodation later. The flights will never be cheaper than they are at the moment and you will always get Accom.

Yeh thats what I was thinking about doing . its just that in the back of my mind Im not sure I would get such a good DIY deal for an A/I hotel. although im sure Karen has booked a few A/I hotels on a DIY basis .

:yikes . ive just done it chris. booked 6 flights to bodrum for £636. that had increased since yesterday. http://www.freedomdirect.co.uk have ADR on their website for next summer and the price for 2 rooms is £3224 for the 6 of us (5 adults 1 child) . Portland price for the 6 of us is nearly 5K so ived probably saved at least £1000.

:omg Well done. Sounds like you have managed to find a way to get to the ADR after all. The flights go up on a daily basis it seems.

I looked on a couple of accomm only sites but they didn't seem to carry the ADR. Didn't think of freedomdirect though.

Well at that price i just decided to take a chance with eldest son and girlfriend and book them which was the only thing holding me back anyway. Ive now got plenty of time to find ADR at a decent price and at the worst i will just have to plump for somewhere different.

I actually feel quite excited which i havnt done for a while. It feels right :D . thanks for giving me the courage. I will blame you when I get told off again by hubby.

Gingerjog - they did have writing in blue and five stars - after applying various potions and good honest sweat - it all became a bit smudged!!!

ellie_meg - no issue over sunbeds; the hotel wasn't full - it was the week after half-term; they do provide beach towels - you are issued with a blue towel card that you exchange in the spa for a fresh towel; queues in bars & restuarants were acceptable - but as mentioned earlier wasn't full; the mini club organised kids dining at 7.30pm, but our son never attended - otherwise there was generally something for him to eat; no seperate kids section in main restaurant;

The Sultans beach restaurant did pizzas and burgers each day from 12ish till about 4ish.

ADR was fine but maybe I was expecting a bit more. If you have been to the Yasmin Bodrum it was slightly better than that but definitely behind Club Letoonia in Fethyie

Hi Becky67
I have just booked great cheap flights for next June half term for Bodrum. Am wondering about booking ADR, Yasmin resort, La Blanche or Rixos Bodrum. So do you recon Yasmin is better than ADR? How does the food, drink and swimming pool space compare? We have been spoilt by Titanic, Lara beach.
Thanks
Emma

Just realised I have misread your post...sorry. So ADR is better than Yasmin?

Lyn, You've been busy - I like your style!

To be honest, when I saw the prices of those flights, I would have booked if I hadn't already got a package.

Well done, pleased that you feel excited. I love feeling like that after I've booked. :D

lyn yes i have booked ADR on package with thomsons who gave me a good price slightly better than portland for whit 08, ive booked aegean flights for end of aug for 2 weeks too as couldnt resist 78 lol yes i have booked some all inc on diy basis, letoonia and lykia world were fab, marmaris palace althoguh 5* wasnt great

emma02 - I think both resorts were broadly similar but if pushed I would plump for ADR.

Yasmin had 24 hour bar but ADR stopped at 02:00hrs. Waterslides at Yasmin better than ADR; watersports better at ADR; ADR 15 min walk to Turgetries - Yasmin 15 min taxi; ADR had better and more internet access; Yasmin had slightly better waiting on staff; Yasmin had seperate quieter "adult " pool and seperate activity pool whilst all activity around the one pool at ADR.

Not wishing to sound xenophobic but La Blanche, which was next to ADR and looked a beautiful hotel, was more focused on Belgian/French guests.

ellie_meg - Letoonia has about 20 years experience on these two resorts. Both ADR and Yasmin are more modern premises but if you take the view that the room is somewhere just to sleep then it won't be such a great difference. Letoonia is also a much bigger complex than both Yasmin and ADR and therefore the shows had much more spent on them

the entertainment side or size of complex etc doesnt worry me too much and we have opted for sea view room so that should be ok. my main concern about ADR was the quality and choice of food as letoonias food was lovely, also letoonias drinks were good for all inc with a better choice than normal, i dont really drink so it was lovely having archers and baileys lol as i normally find all inc have cheap brands of vodka, gin etc that give me horrendous heart burn lol so end up on lemonade instead grr heres hoping ADR is ok for food and drink then
