Just back from flight to Hurghada there and back by Air Atlanta Jumbo... Yes the planes are a little battered inside..... Coming back to Gatwick the plane had no markings at all on the outside just plain white!! We were told by a Steward that it had been in mothballs in Brize Norton and had been formally used as a troop carrier!! taking out seats to accommodate stretchers!!! A fellow passenger I gave a piece of string to so that he could tie down the arm rest that was broken.... The crew were very helpful eventually find some inulatating tape to tape it down with.

The flight was 3 hours delayed both out from Gatwick and back!! Seeing as Excel Airways boast about punctuality.. this is obvious how they get around the problem!!!

Excel Airways you disappoint me a lot... but at least I am back in one piece

Air Atlanta Europe are pretty good, the interiors on-board have seen better days but the aircraft are perfectly safe and will get up and stay up. The crews have the highest praises and they are very good. Air Atlanta has had a new 747-300 reg. TF-ARS so you may be on this instead of the 747-200.

Never flown with them personally, but know people that have and they didn't have any complaints. Chances are, you'll be on an aircraft in the Travel City Direct livery. This is what their 747's look like:

TCD Boeing 747-267B

TCD Boeing 747-312B. This aircraft is now in full TCD livery

Im Cabin Crew for AAE (air atlanta europe) and have a flight this sunday to SSH. Our planes are a little battered but they are certified to fly else they wouldnt be up in the air.
And as for the service Cabin Crew provide is to the best of our ability, after all what passengers dont realise is that from leaving my house to flying to ssh then 1 hour in ssh then back on the plane to manchester then back home again is around 18 hours...so please forgive us if we seem a little tired.

Im sure youll have a wonderful time with AAE as most passengers do.
Have a lovely time in sharm, its a wonderful place.

We travelled to Cyprus with Air Atlanta - we had a problem going out when the luggage loaders hit the cargo and dented it and we had an 11 and a half hour delay whilst they tried to get us another flight, not air atlantas fault tho and the staff were great, kept us informed all the way. On the way back, it was spot on, not the newest aeroplane I've seen but it was okay, had a film on, meal was okay etc - cant complain really.

Have a nice holiday! :D

We travelled with Air Atlanta Europe to Sanford and were flying with them again on a TCD aircraft. There a good airline, the interiors are a little battered but the aircraft will get up and stay up. The crew are fantastic and they always have the highest praises on reviews.

For a flight to dalaman you are more likely to be on their Boeing 757.

Kind Regards

if your flight code is EUK then the aircraft will be a 747-200 not in travel city direct livery as those a/c only operate to sanford under the 5A flight code

Actually Stewartwilkie,

Air Atlanta do use Boeing 747 (jumbo) on their Dalaman route.

Stewartwilke,

I'm meeting some friends in Icmeler later in the year and they are flying with Air Atlanta. They flew with them last year as well and they were on a 747-200, they are scheduled to be on a 747-200 again this year. I've no doubt 757's are used in quieter periods, but it seems 742's are used in the main.

air atlanta do not use any air atlanta branded 757 a/c for UK charter flights but they do own some of the a/c used by Excel airways....
