I can understand your worries about the aircraft condition but TCD have said they will be using 300s for all routes from the UK to Orlando Sanford.
They certainly didnt when I flew with Air Atlanta in June of this year,it was a 200. I think you would have to contact TCD and ask which aircraft they are using.
They could tell you its a 300 but, all of a sudden ,the aircraft has something wrong with it and has had to be replaced by a 200 !
I think its pot-luck with all travel agents but TCD are very good,as far as I'm concerned anyway.
Hope you manage to sort it out.

I was also on the manchester to sanford flight 10th july, the delay of nearly 15 hours, the lies and half truths that the companys came up with were unbelievable I have written to travel city, air atlanta and exel airways requiring recompense and am quite prepared to go to the small claims court. I have also spoken to both ABTA and AUC who have asked me for copies of any letters I have sent to these companies with a brief description of what went on. I would never book with any of these companies again
They did actually get you to Sanford, albeit 15hrs+ later but they will see it as "they kept their part of the bargain".
It kind of catch 22, you really can never win as the charterer (TCD) will say its the airline at fault and vica versa.
As I have said in an earlier review, I (touch wood) have never had any problems with TCD or Air Atlanta Europe and will continue to use their sevice to Sanford (12 weeks today !)

right folks how often do air atlanta change there planes on u @ the last minute am flying with them in 8 weeks time to florida from manchester supposedly on the 747 300 but have heard they have switched planes @ the last minute to the older 747 200 whats the difference apart from the age of the planes please help if u can
hi angel 19 just checked and thursday flights will be tcd flights from gatwick
I travel with TCD and have experienced a plane change 3 times from 300 to 200. The difference is in the seating layout. On the 300, there are 4 class seating, Sunshine 1st, Premium Upper deck, Sunshine Upper deck and Sunshine economy. On the 200, there are 3 classes, Sunshine 1st, sunshine Upper and Sunshine economy. This is why, when they have to change from a 300 to a 200, some people who have booked and paid for ,say ,Sunshine upper deck end up in economy as there arnt as many seats on a 200 as a 300.
hope this helps

I was talking to mark the other day now everyone has confused me, I have paid for sunshine upper deck with the 34seat pitch, does this mean if they changed the flight to the smaller plane, I will end up in economy, I have travelled in economy and thought it was ok, but would I get a refund if this happens, I hope it dont. please can you let me know.

Thanks Mark Webster. TCD airline seem to have a better opinion rating than Air Atlanta, even though they are owned by the same people! I wouldn't worry who I was flying with if I hadn't heard such horrendous stories about the state of the 747-200.
blakey, can you tell I am worried.
hi blakey by the sounds of it sunshine upperdeck still seams to be there even in the 200 series so u should be ok ill keep my fingers crossed for u mark
just an add on from my last message u may yet still be travelling on the tcd plane so it wont matter i was only asking about air atlanta is because ive been bumped to air atlanta when @ the time of booking was told it would be the newer tcd plane but still no complaints still cheap enogh holiday for me
Can anyone help with this, are 5A flights (supposedly Travel city planes) still checking in at the train station?
When I looked on the Manchester airport website it said CC and EUK air atlanta flights went from the train station but the TCY Travel city planes checked in at the train station but where are 5A checking in please
mark
My flight code is 5A134
All that is mentioned is Euk, CC and TCY
So I was just a bit confused as to where we checked in
OH well will get there with plenty of time to spare just incase we have to find the check-in desks
I say eventually as I travelled with them on their 'branded' 747 - operated by Air Atlanta - on the 10th of July this year and was 'lucky' enough to only suffer a 14.5 hr delay. The Air Atlanta/TCD flight from Manchester yesterday flight 460 suffered a 26hr delay.
I have used TCD many times in the past when they were selling you seats on other charters with no probs. Since they tried to do it themselves, the service has gone downhill.

And do we deffo check in at the train station? Our travel agent says it is terminal 1, even though the Manchester airport site says the train station. - can anone help me?
