Just a thought, we're coming into Manchester from Doha landing at 7.30 am. Our train up to Edinburgh is'nt until 10.00 am . If the flight is in early, we'll have about three hours to kill. Is any of the lounges available to arriving passengers, or are they all airside ?

Is there a flight information monitor in the lounge?
Can you leave the lounge to shop and then return during your 3 hours?
Cheers,
Jim
There is a flight info screen at that lounge. But you'll probably have to keep checking it for your flight details (gate number for boarding etc), as the staff might not annouce/call flights for boarding. But can check with the staff if they will or not.
As for your second question about leaving the lounge to shop & returning later, not sure. Maybe someone else could answer that. As when I use the Lounges, I go in their to chill out & relax before my flight. I'm not the shopping at airports type of person. :-)
The shopping is for my wife, when I get in the lounge you'll struggle to get me out.
One more question; we are flying to Johannesburg with SAA on flight SA235. Anyone know which gate that's likely to be and how long to get from the lounge?
Jim
I have gone into a lounge and left to do shopping while my other half remained in the lounge and have never had problems returning. I think that if you have a particular check in time as shown on the booking confirmation, then whether you come and go within that 3 hours shouldn't be a problem provided you don't lose your booking confirmation and don't bring in food and drink from outside.
Before the smoking ban, I went in and out one at Gatwick with no problem. I also think we overstayed because we were delayed. It wasn't very busy and no one threw us out.
No problem going in and out of the lounges.
PS. before anyone complains about "drunks on the plane" i only drink in moderation and have never got on a plane intoxacated also once in my seat the seat belt was buckled up and not unbuckled till we landed at Palma airport unlike all the other passengers who formed a long line down the plane the minute the seat belt sign went off.

Has anyone joined one of these airport lounge service companies? I've recently become a member of Airport Angel and i've got to say it was fantastic having the opportunity to get away from the hustle and noise of the terminal. I am a frequent flyer so this service has been a blessing and i'm annoyed with myself for not finding it earlier. Has anyone got any other good suggestions to relax at the airport?
Regards, Caro
We have booked the executive lounge at nottingham east mids, never been before, so looking forward to it
Have thought about one of these lounges at Stansted for hubby and I and wondered what food and drink you are entitled to.
Has anyone used them at Stansted airport and is there enough to eat, as we are thinking of using this as it will be over tea time. Are all wines and beers free. Thanks
Hi wilson2579 ... while you wait for feedback, there is some comment about Stansted in this earlier post:
Trish
Can those who have used these lounges before tell me, is it easy to pop into the public areas for duty free shopping, etc and then come back, or is it a one time entrance type deal?
You can come and go as you wish.
Does anyone which is the best Lounge to use for London Heathrow Terminal 5, please?
