I think that's quite expensive to be honest Sagres. 
I have had prices of 54 and 60 euros return for up to four people.
(One of the companies I have used before with no problems.)

Just thought on though...the prices I have are to Albufeira.
The price you paid may be for another area, which if course will be different.
(Late night-early morning doesn't do much for me I'm afraid
)
But it's really worth checking out the prices.

With another it's 100 euro's return 9Not much difference in the price of that and the one you use.)
Still, a 22 euros saving on one....sorry it's not as big as I first thought/said.

Thanks for all your posts. Talked it over with the friends I'm going with and have decided that we're going to hire a car from the airport instead (despite it costing double what I paid when I was over in March ) We were going to hire a car for a few days but would probably work out better to hire it for the full week instead.

Laur try http://www.economycarhire.com they are reasonable and have no excess all inclusive prices on their insurance,(some companies charge a 600 euro excess or more, unfortunately if you have a bump,& this could be caused when you are parked up and unbeknown to you, only to find out when you get back to your car you have a big dent in it) cover for 2 drivers & exit into Spain (If you state at time of booking).Used this company many times and always been satisfied, along with many other members of HT who will no doubt recommend them as well. I know its a bit

price i am seeing on follow me tours is €25 each way but on algarve 365 it says €58 and im not sure if thats each way or return?
anyone clear this up for me or give me other places to use?

(You have been looking at the wrong price on Follow Me Tours.
It's 25 euros each way to the city of Faro - not Alvor.)
From Faro airport to Alvor with Follow Me Tours is 50 euros each way.
From Faro airport to Alvor with Algarve-365 is 58 euros each way.
