There are three bus routes Lisbon Airport - City Centre numbers 44, 45 and 91. No metro though.
Bus journey takes about 15 - 20 minutes and costs €1.30 on the 44 or 45 but the 91 is a special limited stop airport bus and costs more.
Buses run every five or six minutes.

Taxis plentiful of course.
hello Biiltrac, only just seen this post the last time we were in Lisbon the price from the airport to just outside the main city centre was 15 euros, but it may have gone up as it was 2 years ago. If you go outside to the taxi rank make sure you fix a price before you get in, or you can go to the tourist office in the airport and pay for a taxi prepaid token so as not to get ripped off. If you do need any info give me a P M and I will try to help out.

Hi all, We are travelling to the Algarve soon and I have just received the following prices for airport transfers, I hope they are of help.
Bravotur 30Euro each way
Dailytour 27.50 Euro each way (for private minibus it is 35 Euro each way)
Algarve airport and golf transfers 50Euro return (didn't say if that was sharing or not but at the price I imagine it is sharing)
Alan Sutton 65 Euro return for Bronze service.
Based on the above prices I have booked Alan's Bronze service.

just back from our Lisbon trip.
bought a Taxi Voucher from the Tourist Info office at the Airport. Cost 18Euro as it was the weekend, usually 15Euro. The Taxi back from the Hotel to the Airport was 10Euro 25c !!

We returned last Tuesday, excellent service from Allan Sutton.
In Albufeira 14th-21st July, return taxi transfers with Alan Sutton's company - as others have said, excellent service. Very clear directions given by email when I made the booking regarding where to meet the driver (which was 'the famous Alan' himself on our arrival 
), and despite paying for a Bronze service we received a free upgrade to Silver service, both ways - lovely air-conditioned MPV just for the 3 of us in our party, with free bottle of water from the on-board fridge each. Very prompt, efficient and friendly service - highly recommended. Cheers Alan

I have just booked to go to Encumeada Madeira in April, I would be pleased to hear of the cheapest mode of transport from Funchal Airport.

We've just used Polotur for our last visit to the Algarve.An excellent service - waiting for us in arrivals even though we were 20 mins early, and on time for the return pick-up at our hotel.Both drivers were friendly and pleasant and vehicles were clean and modern.
Just make a point of checking your e-mail confirmation of booking however - mine showed the return pick-up time from the hotel as the time of our flight departure , but my e-mail confirming the correct time was answered immediately with an amended confirmation.

I'm off to Albufeira in May can anyone recommend transfares from Faro airport to Jardim I & II, and what we should expect to pay, there are 4 Adults in the party.

If you use the Polotur website,you'll get an online quote.
A return with Sul-travel.com should cost you 60 euros.
Re the holiday to Encumeada in Madeira, it is a long way from the airport and realistically taxi is the only wqy but willcost about 50 euros

hope you are all well and got your portugal hols booked this year. My parents are off to Albufeira on the 17th April for a week and they would like to know how much a Taxi should be from Faro airport to Albufeira old town. They don't want to book in advance on the internet despite my persuading them it's cheaper and reliable! Can anyone give me an idea of how much they should expect to pay and also how much they should expect to pay each way for daytime hours.
I also noticed Ryanair still have return flights to Porto for £20 return with taxes but just hand luggage, I can't get more time off work but might be good for someone else.

A taxi in my experience will cost about €40 (depends whereabouts in Albufeira) but make sure a likely price is agreed before setting off. That's weekday daytime. Sundays and holidays cost more.
Also make sure they have the destination address written down, as there is no guarantee a Faro taxi driver will know every inch of Albufeira especially as large parts of the old town are officially at least closed to non-residents vehicles.
