Hi, arriving at Faro in June and need to get to Praia da Rocha. There are 3 of us and have been quoted like £80 return t/fers which i feel is too expensive. Was thinkin of local bus or train...any ideas? has anyone travelled this way before ?
I visited the bus website and it looks like the price is 8 euro return if i am reading it correctly which is brill but that just goes to portimao so gonna need taxi also. Is there a better way ?

I am going in August and have been told by my parents who have just returned that this year theirs cost them €60 return (faro-olhos d'agua) and that you could have got a regular cab for €28.00. hey travelled with a guy called Dale who has been doing this for years (we had him about 6 years ago!) i'll leave website info if my dad gets it for me.
with this in mind i think alans prices look quite expensive unless he is getting the £ and the € sign mixed up. On thre website he mentions a cheaper service that will include others from your flight being in the bus with you and on the way back collecting others who are flying at the same time. this appears to work out at around €71 return.

I can highly recommend Alan Sutton he did our transfers last year and is a lovely friendly person. He also took us out for a day, probably one of the most memorable days we had as he took us to places we would not have known about.
