Hi Taggy, they do have priority check in at Alicante, perhaps you will be able to use that, save you queueing.

We flew with Jet 2 in June and at Alicante they had a seperate desk open for the priority people, this was next to the normal 2 desks for the Manchester flight. It had priority check in on the screen above. There was no queue for this desk, they did call over people from the normal queue to check in, if there were no priority people waiting. Priority people just walked straight up to it no queue at all. Just don't queue up with the normal people as some were doing not realising they could walk right up to the desk until they got to the front of the queue

Yes what Fuzzy fell said, the priority check in desk was situated between the two ordinary Jet2 check in desks.
I did not pre-book my seats this year and all was well going out but coming back check in was terribly slow so I am pre-booking and checking in online next year.

I received an email today from Shuttle Direct, they have a sale on at the moment. I put in some random dates and it came out at £15.00 return for 1 person from Alicante to Benidorm, that's at least a fiver off usual fare, I'm not sure how long it's on for.

Sue i only ever pay 15 pounds at the most for our transfers .Not that i only pay thats all travel republic have requsted 12 pounds return .. Im booked with a2b transfers for sat and its only 11 pounds return cheers mazza
Wow Mazza, that's really good. It's not very often I get shared transfers but when I have, I have paid over a tenner each way.

p.s I've just had a look at a2b and it would cost me £18.00 as a lone traveller so not much in it really.

sue,only £12.87 if booked through travelrepublic,they use a2b transfers 
Oh dear, it looks like I've been ripped off. That is soooo cheap, it works out about the same price as the service bus, well I know where to book in future, thanks for that.
By the way Kev, can you book through Travel Republic if you haven't booked your accomodation with them?

just back today and used http://www.shuttledirect.co.uk again thats 2 times this year and cant fault them brill there and back and on time and cheap £43 for the 3 of us thats both ways
As anyboby used Jet2 transfers to Benidorm and what where they like? Looking forward to getting

We used Jet2 transfers 2 years ago, and they were good. Private cars, 4x4 going, Merc coming back, on time and pleasant drivers. You have to ring and confirm for return journey, but the hotel did it for us. Hope this helps, Linda.

just to warn others,returned with ryanair from alicante today,on getting home and opening my case,i discovered that my birthday presants from my wife and daughters were missing 
,a watch had been taken out of its box and 2 bottles of aftershave,im trying to think if anything else is missing,my case was locked (its one with the numbers on the lock)so somebody either at alicante or newcastle have stolen them,im now in the progress of faxing ryanair to see what they say 
, i will keep you informed of the outcome

I've had that happen once. I noticed that an expensive bottle of perfume was missing once I reached my hotel although they had left the box and taken the contents out, what a cheek.
On my return I mentioned it to the air hostess who advised me to fill in a report from baggage handling. I received a cheque about 2 weeks later for the full amount which I think was about £60.00.
I hope the same happens to you, try not let it spoil your Birthday.

Would anybody be able to recommend to me a cheap transfer from Alicante airport to Albir? I've done a few online quotes and I can't believe how expensive it is! There are 4 adults and 2 children. We've never been to the Costa Blanca before and just assumed that mainland Spain would be cheaper than the islands but in comparison to Majorca its very expensive!

Total cost for two of us on a transfer £24.86 using resort hoppa .That is booking through travel republic.
