We do have a business and yes you do get problems ... but we are never rude or unhelpful to our customers when this happens... (Even though sometimes you feel like it!!).

At the end of the day djwoody, if I had never had a problem with them I would be sticking up for them too, but when there have been TWO BIG problems in the space of 18 months, they will not get another chance. I hope that anyone who does book with them gets a good service ... I personally would not want to give them that chance to ruin things again and therefore cannot recommend them!

too be honest , my only gripe with resorthopper was the complete opposite from the poster that said the bus left too early.

last time we hardly had any time at the airport to get to the duty free , and i only had time to force 1 pint of san miguel down my throat before the flight was called... :yikes

as rennie says , maybe its down to luck.

We haven't been to Beniform for a while and wondered what the going rate is for a taxi from the airport to Benidorm. The company we've booked the apartment from charge 60 euros and we want to know if that is about right.
Thanks

Try David at Prestigetoursspain, he's English fully licensed, and has provided by far the best service ive had with transfers, i think he charges €100 return for a private transfer for up to 4 people, top bloke too!

Having used Resorthoppa and others in the past their service is nothing short of woeful. We now use and will only use holiday taxis, never a problem, so polite on the phone and their prices are really good also. Holiday Taxis service is so good believe it or not I once left my mobile in the back of my transfer and the driver came all the way back to the hotel to drop it off for me, had he not done that I wouldn't have known I had lost it for days!

I've just booked a return transfer with Shuttle Direct for March and was pleasantly surprised to find that it has come down to only €7 each way. ;)

I know that I could have booked it a little bit cheaper through Travel Republic but I really wouldn't use Resorthoppa if they offered me a free transfer due to bad experiences in the past. :really

IMO Shuttle Direct offer a much better service and don't expect to pick you up in the middle of the night for a mid morning flight. :duh

Hi mazza ... Shuttle Direct (Viajes Alameda) have been mentioned lots of times in this topic. While you wait for some more feedback, just enter Shuttle in the search box in the bottom left hand corner to retrieve all previous posts.

Ive used Shuttledirect several times and always found them to be reliable, they tend not to be as busy as Resorthoppa, so you usually dont get as many drop offs. Obviously when you get dropped off is pot luck dependent on just where everyone else is going. Ive usually been on a minibus with them, rather than the large coaches resorthoppa use....although having said that, on my last visit they did use a coach....it was just me and about 20 Germans in a tour group....the girl at the desk told me about this, luckily i was dropped off first....and the Germans were very nice!!

Were going to Benidorm on Wednesday and I know the bus fare is 8 euro, but we have a 2yr old with us for his first holiday and were wondering how much his bus fare will be???
Reply
Not sure about child price, but i know that with the bus at €8 each you can get return transfers with both the main shuttle services just as cheap as that and with them you will be dropped off and picked up at your accomodation...need to book them at least 48 hrs in advance though!

for local transport walk out of airport, cross road, buses up a level on right.they take you into benidorm to av europa bus stop, via a 2min stop at the bus station just outside benidorm.they leave the airport on the hour (but check timetable)the journey approx 3/4 hour. there are taxis at av europa to take you for a few euros to your hotel.
personally i prefer this since i stay in hotels around the indoor market area, i used the private bus companies and after going around the hotel bali and 6 streets in the old town it took longer to get to my hotel than my flight from cardiff perhaps i was unlucky to have so many dropoffs i don't know.

Does enybody know with shuttle direct do you have to phone them 24 hours before you come home, or any other comments on them please

Shuttle Direct are very good...have used them many times without any problems. Yes you do need to call them...i think its now 48 hrs before your return pick up...they will remind you about this and give you the phone number when you get to their desk at the arrivals hall at Alicante!

Perhaps with it been a late flight you will be lucky. Even if you have a few drops, it shouldn't be busy at that time of night... Good luck.. On Monday I was unlucky enough to be the last drop stopping off at 13 hotels prior to mine. I had actually booked with Shuttle Direct but as there were only a few of us, they put us on a Resorthoppa Transfer. The whole journey took 1 and 3/4 hours.

The return journey was much better as it was a Shuttle Direct mini bus with a trailer on the back carrying the luggage. We had a total of 4 pickups including one in the old town and were at the airport within the hour.
