I,m going to the Alva for 2 weeks in October has anybody stayed there recently? Are there televisions in the apartments or the chance to hire one? We are going on a bed and breakfast deal does anyone know what the breakfasts are like ? we are going with thomsons and it doesnt state clearly in the brochure weather the air conditioning is payable locally or not. Any info on these apartments would be greatly appreciated

hiya... we are going over to Agia Napa in October... and to be perfectly honest when we've been over there before in Oct we've never felt the need to use air cond... it's just nice as it is
Alva apts are very nice... have stopped in them 2 times over recent years.... in perfect position for everything

You're welcome Try and find out if you have a sea view or not.... give them a ring and ask them.... It's great chillin on the balcony because you can see all the action goin on... and all what's happenin on the sea... paragliding... jet ski's etc etc.... Also the higher the floor ... the better the view... we always opt for top floor (4th storey). as you don't get noise from anyone above.... better view... and they have a lift so you need not climb all the stairs...

Thats what we always do aswell, jess, ask for the top floor so you have nobody above you. Alva aprtments look really lovely. We were going to go next year, but the price we were quoted for July was too much..........£2200 for adults and 2 children for 2 weeks in July
Then you have your spending money on top of that. They do look really lovely though. You will have a great time.

I know... that's why we stopped going over there as much.... the price is too expensive.... will book a quick week if I see a deal usually with Direct Hols....
Just got back from Icmeler Turkey.. and have booked to go back again next year... a gorgeous little complex of 8 apts... lovely pool... apparently sunbeds are avail all day... (not got people reservin them like they do everywhere else)... right at the foot of the mountain that the sun sets behind.. I have been there and seen them... they are bliss.... get this... 2 apts... 1 apt for my 2 teenage kids... the other for me & hubby ( how bliss will that be ) flights and insurance... all for just under £2000... We will have lots more space... 2 apts.. 2 fridges etc etc... massive balconies and that's goin at the end of July.... I think that's a real bargain... If I was to book 2 apts in Protaras... It would prob cost me gettin on for £3 grand

My 2children will be 13 and 11 when we return to Protaras next year. Weve booked a 2bed apt near FigTree Bay for 2weeks in July, 2adults and 2children............£1740. Dread to think what price the Alva apts would have been for 2bedrooms next July. Think we would have needed a 2nd mortgage!

Well I'd stick with that.... i've never seen a hol that cheap for a 2 bed apt.. especially in July... are you pulling them out of school...? Which apts are you going to?

We are flying out on the 19th July, so they may have to miss a little school. We are staying at the Andreotis apts, right near Fig Tree Bay. Thats where maga and FiFi are staying at the moment, so im hoping to hear some good reports when they get back!

Jess, the apts for next year sound great. Can you tell us the name and who does them pls?

Im pretty sure the Alava apts are set back from the "strip" at Protaras.
They are very close to Fig Tree Bay. We were thinking of booking here next year, but they worked out too expensive for us.
Look really nice though.

You couldn't really get any better location than the Alva Apts... they are on the main strip but at the Fig Tree Bay end.... right near to the Love Boat bar... Alva are lovely they have their own restaurant on the front too... waterfalls and fish pools around the eating area by the pool... well they did last time we went anyway.... 2 mins walk across the road you have Fig Tree Bay.... They are behind and 2 mins walk from the Capo Bay Hotel if you know where that is... If you do book these apts... best rooms.... Top floor (don't worry they have lifts) which is about 4th floor... sea view... because you can chill out on the balcony watching all the action on the sea... paragliding....jet ski's etc etc... I would deffo go back to these apts again...
