Hi,
We too have stayed at the Andreotis appts and were very impressed .we were slightly disappointed that we were in the Main building not the bungalow types appts in the this years Sunset brochure !
However our appt was very spacious and had the only whirlpool bath in the complex! We would stay there again , you can't say more than that .
I have a few photos if you want to PM me your e-mail adddress
We usually take cash and travellers cheques but while speaking to an English girl in one of the exchange/tour/car hire shops she said the best thing is to take Sterling and change it in resort .Crime is very low in Cyprus but you can safeguard your Sterling by using the safety deposit boxes.

Hi Jannie, dotchas does have some great photos of the Andreotis apeartments like she says......... :D .............so good, infact, that i have one showing their pool area on my computer as a "background!" Puts me in the mood for staying there next July. :P

hi jannie, i am a rep here in cyprus, andreotis is perfect location, the 3 day trip to egypt is approx 150.00 cyp per adult and children under 12 cruise free just paying taxes, the 1 day flight is 195.00 cyp per adult and 175.00 cyp for children under 12 they are both very tiring but fantastic and well worth doing. i would advise taking some cypriot pounds, travellers cheques and also you cash/debit cards. visa and mastercard are excepted everywhere but be aware if you have a switch card they are not excepted in most shops, bars and restaurants. there are a few nice bars depending on what you are looking fro karaoke, quiet etc worth just taking a walk around :D

Just returned from hols on Wednesday.Had a lovely time.Weather Fantastic, weve all come back with lovely tans.Andreotis apartments are lovely, ours wer cleaned nearly every day with clean sheets and towels and the maid was very friendly.Tasos, George ,paula and staff behind the bar wer great.Made us feel very welcome.Have to say the milkshakes by the poolside bar are the best weve ever tasted.Same goes for the tasos special cocktail. The food here was great too especially the breakfasts. The pool was great, thats were we spent most of our days lying around it with the kids playing in it.The only downside was we had an ant problem in our apartment which was a bit annoying.
I would also reccomend going on the glass bottom boat trip as we really enjoyed it,and saw some flying fish which amazed us all.We also took the trip to famagusta which i wouldnt really reccomend.parts were okay but didnt really get to see much of the parts of famagusta thats off limits, and when we stopped in old famagusta we all felt very out of place as the turkish live there now and we felt very unwelcome and uneasy walkin around as they constantly stared.
for food i would reccomend teejays bar which has lovely food at a reasonable price and the staff are english and make you feel very welcome.Theres also an american grill restaurant on the top road which has amazing food with massive portions at reasonable prices too.
All in all we had a great holiday and were unhappy to come home to this freezing british weather. But theres always next year.Anyone who is going to Protaras will not be dissapointed!!!!

Hi evelou! :D My family and i are booked in to stay at the Andreotis apts next July, so im glad your comments sound positive about them. http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/490.gif Interesting to hear your comments about the trip to Famagusta aswell....... i would love to go, but my hubby doesnt think we should, as the Turkish Cypriots own it. To me though, its part of Cyprus history, so i would loved to experience it. :D Cant wait to go back to Protaras next July. :wave

Hi Evelou, isn't the Andreotis fantastic. Tassos & George are just great. Glad you had a good time. I've still not done my review - really need to get it done. We had an ant problem too but we just bought a can of spray and sprayed around the windows and doors.

Can't wait to go back

Wish I had been left in Cyprus, this Scottish weather is nasty, hate the in between, love the sun and love the ice cold and snow. :? Now I think Cyprus might be theplace for me, hot in the summer live by the coast and in the winter make my way up tot he Troodos. - Oh I can dream, one day it may be a reality :shrug

Hey hello Cromwell

I am now back, and what a fantastic time I had! I feel a life change coming on!!!

My mum's just bought a new house (off-plan) completed next summer in Liopetri and also an apartment in Paralimni, so I am in heaven! :D :D :D

Only saw Elvis in Bells, and he was as good as ever, seemed to do different things this time, so didn't get to see the one in the Love Boat! Tina Turner was in the Ghetto Bar (too loud for me in there) and Freddie Mercury in the Robin Hood. Bells was the only Elvis we saw around, which was quite pleasant!!

Hope you're well!

Ooh Kezza, are you really thinking of living over there? ........... ooh you lucky thing. Dont forget about us if you do though.
When we go over next July, im going to have a look in some property developers shops to see just how much apts go for. (Couldnt afford a Villa). Will need a minimum of 3 bedrooms though, as my kids will be 13 and 11, would need there own space. Thinking ahead, from when my hubbys plumbing really starts to take off, then we could consider buying a holiday home. May take a few years, but im prepared to wait. xx
