Hi,
The Andreotis appts are lovely ,we stayed there last May and loved them.They are just of the main strip and far enough away to be quiet but within a couple of minutes walk from the bars,shops and restaurants.
We were in the main block which unfortunately faces the road ,however our appartment was huge and beautifully done.We also got the only appt with a spa bath which made up for facing the road!!!.
The pool bar does drinks and the restaurant is open all day for meals and snacks.Its run by Tassos and his Scottish wife(paula?)
If we were going back to Protaras we would stay at the Andreotis again!
We booked with Sunset as they were cheaper than Thomas Cook.

Hi Gunngirl........ we are staying at the Andreotis Apts In July......... 11 weeks on Wednesday to be exact. Cant wait!!

I must say, I have not heard one bad report about these Apts.........

Guys - i know im a pain but im torn between these two lovely places! can go to Brilliant on 7/06 for £559 for both of us of Andreotis on 7/06 for £580 - both have fab reviews oh what to do???

Like I said, we are staying at the Andreotis. We actually stayed In other Apts opposite these two years ago, so we know what a great location they are In.

Only around 400 metres from FigTree Bay.

The Brilliant Apts are situated further up the main road, past the Andreotis..... not much further actually.

They are both In a great location. We know of 3 different sets of people who have stayed at the Andreotis, and have raved about the place. Unfortunately we dont know anyone who has stayed at the Brilliant Apts..... however, I was also looking at these before we booked the Andreotis........ so I know your dilemma!

The Andreotis are brilliant - cookie - can't belive it is only 11 weeks to go now!

Food is great - we ate brunch everyday in the shade - then went back to the pool to grab more sun. Tassos, Paul and George are great, they run the bar/restuarant and pool bar. Great rum slush drinks. mmmmmmm

Off the main strip but literally accross the road so a 5 minute walk and you are in the thick of the action.

I also stayed at The Brilliant apartments 2 years ago - these were also good. Although if I had to choose I would choose The Andreotis. I liked the little 4 in a block bungalows and they were spotless (except a few antsseemed to like our bathroom - a quick buy of ant spray put that to a stop!)

Oh how I wish I was going back this year

When we booked It, It was around 63 weeks to go ......
........ cant WAIT to reurn to Protaras again!

We are first timers to Cyprus and have booked to stay in the Andreotis appartments can anyone please tell me what they are like and how far away from everything the appartments are.

I was also told by the travel agent that there are fun pubs and loads of things for children to do day and night.

The Apts are In a great location...... around 400metres from FigTree Bay..... and you are a minute or so from the beginning of the "strip", where you will find plenty of Bars and Restaurants to choose from

........ as for attractions........ well right opposite the Andreotis, over the road Is a Mythology FunFair....... great for smaller children, It has Games, Go Karts etc. Just down the road Is a Mini Golf place....... theres also a Bowling Alley now In Protaras....... I think this Is at the far end of the "strip", near McDonalds.

.......there are also quite a few places with arcade games, pool etc........ plenty for the kids to do.

If you need any more Info, just PM me........ last time we stayed In Protaras, we actually stayed opposite the Andreotis.......on a nightime It sounded great......really lively etc. Thats why we have booked to go this year...... :wink:.......we also did the 3day mini cruise to Egypt by the way

Hi drunraffles - The Andreotis are fantastic. If you read some previous posts on here you will see me rave about them and the staff. When Cookie says they sounded lively - they are but not to an extent you can't sleep for the noise! Paula, George and Tassos are fantastic and will make your stay at The Andreotis one to remember.

You are a few minutes walk to the top of the 'strip' and a few minutes to Fig Tree Bay - ideally located igf you ask me - away from the hussle and bussle of the strip but close enought to enjoy it.

glad you rate these apartments highly as we are going there in 5 weeks time and really looking forward to it.

When we first visited Protaras in 95,friends of our visited The Andreotis and it was lovely,each year we go back and have a look round and it has got better and better,great location right at the top of the strip, that year we decided to visit Protaras with friends,they booked The Andreotis and we phoned up the same teletex holiday company asking to stay close by,we booked apartments that were apartently 2 mins away,wrong! they booked us into the Flora hotel,which was nice but you really couldn't get 2 hotels further away from each other,at night it wasn't too bad but during the day the heat was unbareable......

What will the temperature be like in June?

Just about to book up for Cyprus next summer going back to the Andreotis and was just wondering if Tassos Paula and George still running the bar area. and also does anyone have an email adress for them. any help would be great.

they lost a couple of the girls that were there towards the end of our stay and tassos had taken on a couple of new girls
