Hmm think if it was me, id leave baby at home, and take your older child, that way you could enjoy boat trips, swimming pool, nights out etc etc, ive never had a problem being alone with kids, they are now 11, 16 and 17, everybody makes us feel very welcome... :tup

There's a lady who posts here who had her first holiday with her young son last year in Oludeniz. She loved it so much and both had fantastic time, her worries were unfounded.

I will go off and find one of her threads for you.....

I've bumped two threads by karen_uk for you to have a look at if you are considering Oludeniz.

Hope you don't mind Karen, I just remember them from last summer!

Hi Alibab I'm not a single parent but I always travel abroad on my own with my daughter who's now 15 for the past 4 years to Olu Deniz, I can assure you you will not be on your own if you go there because everybody is so friendly the locals and holiday makers. Olu Deniz is such a lovely place so compact but so entertaining and everything on your doorstep. We will be flying out the 3rd July and I can't wait we have made many friends there and so looking forward to meeting up with them again. Alibab you can do it and you won't regret it, I give you my word.

I agree there with the officer, the 1st time i went abroad by myself with the kids i was very scared and nervous, ive been to a few different countries, and although ive enjoyed most, nothing compared to turkey for the friendliness of the locals, after all, this is the only country i keep going back to now! ;)

I too am a single parent - two boys now 5 & 13. I have travelled all over with the oldest and now with them both without any concerns. We went to Olu Deniz resort hotel last year and have booked again to go in August.
The hotel is fantastic and not once did I feel out of place being "on my own" with them. There is so much to do in the hotel and with trips we went on - jeep safari and boat trips there was never a dull moment. The only thing I didn't do but wanted too, was to have the turkish bath/massage etc as couldn't take the little one in. Could have left him in the kids club but he wasn't very keen.

Hi, I (Dad) will be going to Titanic Beach Resort 30th May with my two, daughter nearly 13 and son 10. I wasn't bothered about going on my own but now you have me thinking, if i'm the only single parent (unlikely hopefully) are couples going to want me in their group if that is the right expression or am I going to be left on my own while the kids have a great time with their new friends. Never been on holiday as a single parent before. I must admit I have never noticed a single parent when I have been on holday before, we used to end up with two or more couples as a group after a day or so (no we did not throw the car keys on the table at the end of the night). ;) Would you invite a single person to have a few drinks with you.

We have done that lots of time Nick, I think the only time we would not is if the person or there children were not very nice people. I think I would feel awful if I ignored someone that was left sitting by themselves. I think you will have no problems meeting and making new friends on your holiday, especially when you have your children with you as they will make new friends straight away.

Thanks guys, phoned kids up today & they were really excited at there only being 15 more sleeps before we go. I'm sure we'll have a great time and that we'll meet lots of new friends. Here's hoping you all have a fantastic holiday too.

I'm not a single parent but I regularly travel to Turkey on my own and meet friend with young children there. I don't think you'll have any problems and you'll be made to feel very welcome.

Let me know if you want a traveling partner! ;)

Im going to Hisaronu this summer with my 2 daughters 17 and 11. Although I have been many times before to Olu Deniz, Ovacik and Hisaronu, never on my own.

Im not fazed by it at all, however i do know quite a few people out there and the hotel we are staying in is the same as last year and most of the people we met are also returning so im very lucky i will be among friends!!

Olu Deniz and Hisaronu i would definately recommend, and I certainly wouldnt be scared about going on my own as a single Mum. :)

Hi
I travel as a single parent with 2 teenage daughters. First few times were to Olu Deniz. No problems whatsoever. I was a little anxious first time but there was no need to be as all my single parent holidays have been better than the married ones !
