Crete or Cyprus will be warmer than Rhods and parts of turkey, you could also look at malta, best european weather though should be the canaries
Cyprus by far is the best place to go! Been there 9 times, going again next year for the 10th time. Can't wait!

It should still be very hot in October in Cyprus. I went there in Oct one year and I was very lucky as it was still about 30 degrees. I'd definitely recommend Cyprus!

Hi debs, it is also a lot cheaper in October for Cyprus too. Are you looking for cheap but cheerful? We're going to Bellini Bungalows in Ayia Napa, its booked through Olympic Holidays. They are only 2* self catering but ive been told they are clean and tidy, and set back a short distance from the road so quiet too!

Look at http://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk as they sometimes have good deals.
I've just returned from the Conrad, Sharm (review posted) and would recommend it.

Hope you manage to get yourself sorted!

If you shop around, £450 per head should get you a decent AI in Tunisia at that time of the year. It probably won't be as hot as the Canaries or the Red Sea in early October but the weather will still be in the upper 70s/lower 80s and hence decent for sunbathing during the day though it will be cooler at night.
you have less chance of rain.
We are giving Portugal a go this October.
Enjoy!!
I'd say most places in the southern Med (Crete, Cyprus, Egypt) should still be scorchio in early October, but personally, I'd recommend the Canaries at any time of the year; and you'll get a better tan there because the Canaries are further south and nearer the Equator than anywhere in the Med

Fuerteventura has some fantastic beaches and a choice of good quality all-inclusive hotels. Gran Canaria (although not my personal favourite) also has some good all-inc hotels, and is the furthest south of all the islands, with the fantastic Maspalomas sand dunes at the southern tip.

have you tried pricing up diy,s this sometimes comes out cheaper and ive booked loads of all incs in turkey this way and always got good prices
I've also found d.i.y. invariably works out cheaper if you look around, and it also gives you more flexibility. For flights, have a look at the airlines' own websites, as I've just booked what I thought was a good priced flight through Travel Republic, using the promo code 'cardstudent', then found I could have got it even cheaper by booking direct with Thomas Cook.
