I will booked the Mumbai - Goa flights nearer the time in case there are any changes of flight times with Qatar.
203 SLEEPS
brilliant price
So for 14 nights wanted in Goa, would I lose a day/hours going this way or am I better staying with a charter flight.
If anyone could post with details of time taken flying from Manchester via Mumbai to Goa would be a great help (and any problems you have had or any that I may expect)
Cheers, Spike.
you would allow up to 3 hours connection time. The flight to Goa is less than an hour. The added bonus is that you sail through Diabolic! No passport checks on the way in!! When we arrived, we were out in the taxi in minutes.
It has always been worth the extra money the last few years to go direct MAN-GOI.Even having to put up with Diabolic.
However looking at the current prices for next year this may be a real alternative.

If you don't have the faff at Diabolic airport, do you get it instead at Mumbai? Are you stopped every few feet just so some jobs worth can check your flipping passport just in case you have magically changed into someone else between the last check and the new one?
Has anyone else gone into travel agents shops such as First Choice and Thomas Cook to find that there are very few brochures out? In previous years their shelves have been stocked high with brochures. I was told the new ones will be out next week.
The flight itinery is; leave Manchester 08:20 and arrive Mumbai at 03:05 with a 3 hour wait at Doha. Total journey time 13hr 15min. The arrival time in Mumbai is perfect for catching the early morning flight to Goa.
The return journey leaves Mumbai at 05:00 and arrives at Manchester at 12:20 with 1hr 15 min wait at Doha. Total journey time 12hr 50 min. As we don't fancy sitting around Mumbai airport from the previous evening we will stop at an hotel near the airport for a few hours rest.
We find Mumbai airport much more efficient than Goa and also on arrival at Goa there aren't as many porters trying to grab your bags as there are with the arrival of charter flights.
On both our last trips we were through immigration within 10 minutes!!!
