Ours is a different flight no and I've just worked it out from the time we take off in Manchester to the time we land in Goa it's exactly 9.5 hours, so it looks as though it's a different flight.

Mind you I thought that last year with Thomson and we had a letter which changed the times so that we could pick up in Gatwick.

What time is your flight due to take off ?

It takes off at 20.05, two years ago we went from birmingham and the plane came from Manchester first, but that was with thomson.

Nope not going this year as it's too expensive for us to go at christmas as usual, it would cost around £7000 all in for the 4 of us including adloining flights to and from edinburgh so were looking at egypt this year. :cry After our nightmare of 3 out of 4 flights being delayed last year and the hassle with visa's etc i just cant be bothered with it all. This chrismas it will be a direct flight from Scotland to where ever we go

We are also giving Goa a miss this next season :( , because of the current financial climate we are looking after our pennies, we both work for the same company and so far there has been one round of redundancies which fortunately we have not been included, but anything can happen in these uncertain times. We also have another reason, we are expecting a new grandchild in July :D and wouldn't want to miss her first Christmas (we are 90% sure it's a girl). So this year we are holidaying in the UK, we are going to Cornwall for a week at the begining of June, hopefully we will get back to Goa 2010/11 and meet up with some of you again.

:cheers DebnPete

looks promising for returning holidaymakers. The credit crunch is going to have an effect on holiday plans for many, I fear though.
