We have been to the same place for the last 4 years. The reasons are like many others, we know the resort, we have friends there, we obviously enjoy it and also because our kids have a big input in choosing our main summer holiday and even on the plane home they are talking about when they come back next year However this year i fancy trying another resort so i`ve told them we can still go to Turkey just a different resort.
There are loads of places i want to visit but for now i`m pretty much happy to let them pick.
Hubby and i had a week away without the kids and went to Benidorm, we had never been before and honestly would not go back especially not with the kids, well not in peak anyway. The beaches were beautiful, some lovely places outside of the main bit but it just wasn`t our cup of tea and i would have been devastated if that had been our main holiday with the kids.

I rarely go to a place just once, and even if i have, i'd still like to go back to those ones too

We always use to go to a different place Antigua being one of our favourites until we had children and now for the last 4 years we have been going back to Sonbou in Menorca.
Even after 4 years there are still so many areas we haven't visited on the island and we can't bear the thought of not going there at least once a year.

A good holiday for me requires good weather, decent accommodation and places of interest to visit. I'm happy to return to the same place several times in succession and we've done that recently with Menorca, but after 2 or 3 visits, seeing the same things and places loses it's interest for us and we will then go somewhere else instead. We always hire a car for the whole holiday so get to see a lot of the area which is probably why we generally don't keep going back to the same place very often.

We never go back to the same place for our summer holiday although we do tend to go to France every year. We always have a week away at Easter and at the October mid-term and we have an arrangement with the in-laws that we use their holiday cabin at these times. We go there to chill and the packing necessities are a box of Lego, some videos/DVDs for the kids to watch with us before bed and lots of books/craft activities. We go there so often that we have seen all the sights and go with no plans. Our summer holiday though is carefully researched and we go with a list of places to see and things to do as we don't plan to go back to the area in the near future.

For the last 7 years we have been going to Icmeler Turkey .....Its such a lovely little place and we have made so many friends there I cant even think about going somewhere else ( I know hubby does though) We have such a great tim there Im frightened to go anywhere else in case it would be a disapointment

I've never been back to the same resort, let alone same accomodation!

Aged 4-17 travelling with parents, we always tried somewhere slightly different so I have actually been to Majorca twice and the Algarve twice but different resorts and years apart... my parents wanted to chill out on holiday and unwind BUT still wanted to try new places.. so out of approx 20 holidays only the 2 pairs above were same destination!

Aged 18-32 travelling alone/with mates/with partner, I've been to Crete twice because i love the island (different resorts) but apart from that i've been somewhere different every holiday and even now with my partner we will try new places before going back.. I don't see it as stressful to go somewhere new, it's exciting??
