Does anyone know if there is a excursion here, or if its something you have to do on your own?
Many Thanks,
Sarah
I've never heard of an excursion but it is very easy to do yourself. You can get a bus to Adeje and walk up the very steep hill to Otello's restaurant and the start of the walk. I believe that there is a small charge for the walk during the week now although I think that Sunday's are free. They also limit the number of visitors each day but I'm not sure what the limit is. This has been introduced fairly recently as I have done this walk a few times and never had to pay. The walk isn't difficult and takes around an hour and a half each way. You can't get lost, there is only one way in and out.

It is a QTVR (quicktime) so your browser may ask for permission to show it.
I walked there from Adeje main square - just keep walking upwards!
Here's a 360-degree panorama of the view from the viewing platform, taken in March 2006: It is a QTVR (quicktime) so your browser may ask for permission to show it.

I was erring on the side of caution because I walk a lot, I think it actually took me around an hour and a quarter each way. That is purely walking time only however, it doesn't include stops for breaks etc. The walk is not difficult and is only around 5 kilometres in distance. I have in the past climbed Teide , now that did take a bit longer!
Nice one Torrenter, It's the next best thing to being there!
