Im going to benidorm ( 22nd-29th )
I am a bit confused what to pack in my suitcase as i dont no what the weather is!
does anyone no please!!
Tinkz! xx
You should not be cold in the day, so shorts and t-shirts would be fine with perhaps a cardi/light jacket if it goes cloudy or rainy (which it may well do) Nighttimes will be cooler and wear what you would be wearing here just recently (bearing in mind where I live , Wirral, we have had some astonishing temperatures over the last few weeks)! You may find you will get one or two torrential rainshowers, then it will clear up beautifully! I normally go in january, and what i do is wear a vest with a light cardi over during the day, if it gets sunny i simply tie the cardi round my waist and get a lovely sun tan.
Whatever the weather you will enjoy, it is a place with lots to do and see even if the weather is not perfect, but I am sure (looking at the forecast) it will be glorious....have a look at the 10 day forecast on http://www.weather.com and remember Benidorm has its own microclimate so will always be warmer than say the temp for Alicante!
Tinkerbell Pack the things you will need on your holiday in the case.
Two mums, two ten year old boys...Hope you enjoy your hol.We are going to Albir Gardens just outside Benidorm. We want a goo relaxing half term break, good for kids , good for mums.....
Can someone advise if this is a good idea and will there be plenty for her to do?
We went to Ibiza last summer and it was the best family holiday we had.
We are looking for the usual bouncy castles, fairground etc.
And any hints to suitable hotels with kids clubs would be appreciated too..
Cheers
JIM
Hi Jim ... while you wait for some feedback, I have merged your enquiry with this similar previous topic, which hopefully may provide some useful info.
Hi i was just thinking the same where at night is good for 2 12yr olds and a 6yr old like i have said in other posts i have never been abroad in my lofe so looking for good places to take kids to at night

Almost all bars in Benidorm allow children but offer different types of entertainment. At the Rincon De Loix end of Benidorm you will find the Triangle group of pubs just up a slight hill, the cellar bar (under the Plaza pub) has Louis The Clown with games and magic. The Triangle pub which is opposite has karaoke from about 10 pm till late. Another favorite with the kids is Panchos who also have games etc, your 12 year olds would probably like Churchills pub which is good for adults and smaller children too with karaoke and disco till 3 am with DJ Gary La from liverpool , just a couple of suggestions, there are hundreds of bars in Benidorm and I am sure other HT contributors will come up with more ideas.
Have fun, kblokey

Can anyone recommend any hotels that have good childrens entertainment and are generally good at catering for young ones?
Thanks
We went last year and it was fantastic.
I know there is lots of lovely hotels in benidorm but I am looking for one which has good facilities for kids.....my daughter is 5 and to have a good kiddies pool, playground and kids club would def put a huge smile on her face. Night time isn't a big deal as we will prob be goin out anyway after dinner.
Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

I think that Sol Pelicanos meets what you are looking for and it's very central too, close to the beach which is great when you have little ones.
We have recently returned from there and I thought that the children's play area in particular was very well equipped for young children. Although our little boy isn't in to kiddie clubs I did notice when it was been held outside, all the children looked as though they were having great fun. You do have to pay extra for the club but I looked at the book and it seemed very reasonable. The Pelicanos and the Ocas which is the sister hotel next door, both have kiddies pools and you are allowed to use either.
The only thing that I would say is that there are better hotels in Benidorm for childrens entertainment on an evening such as the Flamingo Oasis but as that is an all inclusive hotel, it does usually work out to be much more expensive as well as not been as central.
There is a bar called Panchos which is only a few minutes walk from the Pelicanos and they have a childrens entertainer on nightly from about 7-11pm called Captain Britain who's great with the kids.
Hope you enjoy it wherever you decide to stay.

Thanks for your advice, I had been looking at Sol Pelicanos hotel earlier and thought it looked good. It's always better hearing it from someone who has experienced it.
I will get looking at the Sol Pelicanos hotel rates as I have already booked my flights for the 14th July, I'm halfway there.

Check Thomsons accommodation only. I find they are sometimes cheaper than other agents. Karen
They had competitions for them during the day and a nightly disco and entertainment from 8.30 to 9.30. Most nights the stage was full of kids who were really enjoying themselves.
This hotel is a bit more expensive than other hotels but certainly worth the money.
The Pelicanos is more central if you like going out on an evening and closer to entertainment, the flamingo oasis is set back and there fore the entertainment on an evening is a whole lot better.
We stayed at the Oasis last year but enjoyed our holiday more this year at the Pelicanos.
If I were given a choice of a holiday now at one of the above hotels, I would choose the Pelicanos.
Cazz.
This hotel is a bit more expensive than other hotels but certainly worth the money.
The Flamingo Oasis is a great hotel, I have stayed there on 3 occasions now but this time for our family of 4 it would have cost us £1,000 more than it did for half board at the Pelicanos and I know that it would have cost Cazz and her family hundreds of pounds more too.
One of the reasons that I recommended the Pelicanos is that Harley was looking for 3 main things which were a decent playground, kiddies club and kiddies pool all of which I think are actually better at the Pelicanos than the Oasis.
The itinerary at the kids club at the Pelicanos seemed to include more arts and craft stuff which I think little girls enjoy as well as them having an "elastic bungy" included in the cost.
The pools are definitely better as is the playground too.
Also given that Harley wants to venture out on an evening I do feel that she would not benefit from paying the extra for all inclusive.
I would opt for The Oasis for a few days break in the future if I can get a bargain with Thomson Accommodation only website. In December we only paid £30.00 a night for 4 people and in February £50.00 a night which worked out cheaper than an apartment.
