The Plaza beside the dalmatos has a clown on downstairs every night. My 2 are too old so we didn't go in to that part but other people were saying it was really good for younger kids. The Plaza upstairs is lovely and has different acts on every night.
Is dalmatus new or old town, my oldest is 9 and thinks he's a bit old for phil but he did enjoy the hypnotist afterwards, what other kinds of acts does the plaza have on. Does the clown do a funny show are does he have a similar act to phil.
Not sure what kind of act the clown does. The Plaza has singers and comediens. The white horse accross the road from the Plaza (owned by the same company) also has different act on, think about 4 every night. Most (not all)are pretty good. The white horse has a kids arcade downstairs with video games, pool table and air hockey. That would maybe keep kids amused and let you enjoy the entertainment.
The Dalmatas is located at the far end of the levanti beach opposite end from the old town.
Just approx 30 yards up from burger king
four of us are of to benidorm tuesday for 2 wks.i have a 7 yr old daughter and was wondering where is the best place to take them in the evenings..we are stayin at the paraiso10 and i believe they dont have entertainment there.also is it possible to go to other hotels for the entertainment ..or are u only allowed in if ur staying at that hotel..all replies appreciated...4 days to go......yipeeeeeeeeeee
Walk downhill, towards the sea, four blocks and you get to Calle Lepanto. Turn left for Cafe Benidorm or right for Churchills, both have acts which are suitable for children and children are welcome (as they are in most places). Warning, if you have sensitive hearing leave Churchills when the acts finish because that's when the Karaoke starts and the kids are also welcome to join in

Im a single mum with a 5 year old and have been considering a trip away for October half term...I know its late and everything I wanted to the Canaries was booked....but someone got me thinking Benidorm....lol
Have never even thought about it before, and most certainly never been there, but was wondering about...
a) suitability for him and I...of course we won't be out partying all night, but do like to walk around and have a look at shops etc
b) like to be close to the beach ~ main point of the holiday
c) unsure as to which part of Benidorm would be best for us both
d) have usually gone self catering on holiday apart from trip to Dom Rep which was all inclusive, but he is a MAJOR fussy eater so don't know if it is worth going full board or not....
e) would like to get best deal I can as this is just an extra holiday...
so far choices look between :~ have found Sol Pelicanos, Los Dalmatas, Avenida, Prince Park Levantelux apartments and levante Beach....any opinions on these would be gratefully appreciated....these average around the £299 mark each (have to pay adult for him) so it will work out about £650 for the two of us, having never travelled to this part I assume this is good? lol
One concern I do have is my little boy does suffer from leg problems (has a job to walk distances/steps/steep hills etc and I am concerned as to how he would be going up and down the hill I've read so much of...so any hints or places/apartments to consider would be appreciated....any to avoid?
Thanks so much....

Hi Karen, I would consider Sol Pelicanos, It's a nice hotel and it's flat around there and it's not far from the beach. There is a place called Panchos not far away as well that you could take your little boy to on an evening. The place is a kids paradise. They have a clown called Phil who entertains the kids none stop for a couple of hours on an evening.Although I have heard that he was having a couple of months off so if anyone else has any more info on this....... I can't comment on all the places listed but my mum has stayed at the Prince Park and it's quite a way out and has a lot of Spanish guests. Los Dalmatas is very near the beach in the Rincon area but it is quite hilly around that area. Avenida is a very nice hotel but it's in the old town (my sister stayed there on a late deal and found it very noisy) and considering that there's just the two of you , you probably would prefer to be in the new town. I don't know if the Pelicanos has entertainment for the kids (I've only ever used the loo there) but I know people who have stayed there and really enjoyed it. Oh it's also very near the indoor market so if you like shopping you could pop in there. Hope this has been of some help. Also look on the hotel reviews before you make up your mind.
Karen, most places are near the beaches and shops. the main town is a nice walk from any end of Benidorm along the sea front. You will enjoy yourself where ever you stay.
Thanks again.....Im just now deciding to book.....little one wants to stay at home and go on a football course ....lol but Im longing to catch some rays before heading to winter and dare I say it....Xmas! lol
Thanks again

I agree with Sue Allen and would choose the Pelicanos out of all those that you mentioned. The Levantelux, Levante Beach and the Prince Park are all up hill although the Prince Park is in the old town. I stayed there a couple of years ago and it was the worst holiday I have had in Benidorm due to the location and food. The Dalmatas is right near the beach but I wouldn't particularly call it child friendly and they don't serve meals that would appeal to kids.
I think the Pelicanos has a kids club and the pool there is fantastic and you are very close to everything.
Have a great time wherever you decide to stay.
Michelle
I agree also that Pelicanos would be ideal for you. It's a really good hotel. Benidorm is brilliant for all ages. We are going in December for the 3rd time this year. Loads of shops, bars and entertainment. You will have a great time.

Have found a package with First Choice, which includes seats tgoether, inflight meals (early early flight so little one will need brekkie) for £617.82 this is half board....or £688 full board.... I dont know which would be of more benefit, little one doesn't eat a great deal anyway....would you suggest half board or full board? if so, whats the difference, I believe it doesn't include drinks anyway?
Thanks again

The £70.00 that you would save should cover your lunches for a week. (I presume it's a week that you're going for.) Have a great time.
Sue
we have been going to Benidorm every winter for the last 7 years, i.e. since my son was 5 years old and it is his favourite place (despite the fact in the summer we travel to some lovely resorts / countries for our main holiday), he always gets very excited about his benidorm trip! He loves to walk along the prom at the Levante beach (very close to the Pelicanos) and stare up at all the 'skyscrapers' as he calls them, he thinks he is in New York, and your son will too! We have not stayed at the Pelicanos, but next door at the Calypso, and while this was not particularly child friendly as regards the entertainment, the Pelicanos was. I hope you manage to get there, as I am sure you will find it very welcoming and friendly, if you happen to stop for a breather on your walk along Levante prom, its guaranteed someone will stop and chat to you!
Good Luck with your booking, and I think the price is good, being half term you could hang on, but I doubt you'd get it much cheaper, and not where you want.
Just ask if you'd like any more info

Well...having decided to book it I went online to do so today, and the holiday has increased up to £370 per person when last night it was still only showing £299. I don't know if it has increased because it is now the weekend and its the kind of time most people look for hols?
I have only been able to find the Pelicanos with First choice, but the price has gone up on both their website and also on eclipse....they are in fact the same.....So...I am just going to wait, see if the price changes over the next few days....and if it does book it....:)
Will keep you updated.
Thanks again its really helpful to hear about this, having never been to Spain before at all, but also the reputation that benidorm has, I know its not everyones cup of tea....

If I cannot get a booking for the Pelicanos, I may go Self catering...if so....any recommendations on where to stay in the Flat part? lol
THanks
Karen x
My son is a fussy eater (think most kids now days are) went to the Pelicanos in June and he always found something to eat, they do a kids section chips chicken nuggets pizza etc my son doesnt even like pizza but will eat chips. They have big bowls of prawn crackers, these seemed very popular with the kids, my son loved these. The breakfasts are very good, they do pancakes my son as always turned is nose up at these but was eating them all the time, they was plenty of fruit, apples pears etc lots of different cakes and buns in a morning. The kids club was very good. Am going back next week just for a week. I am sure you and you son will have a great time if you manage to book this hotel. The price you were first quoted to me is a good price, we have done a diy booked 3 months ago and it has cost us £667 including transfers for 3 of us for a week, but we are going a week before the school holidays. Hope you find something soon, enjoy your holiday.
