Diane
Enjoy the BabBam club and keep your eyes peeled for Fred Flintstone.
(There is a flintstone theme for the kids club)
Can anyone help i am looking for a family hotel in benidorm for me and my partner and our two sons age 2 and 8. needs to have a big pool with slides if poss. good family entertament ie kids disco good food ie halfboard. this is our first time in benidorm we usually go to tenerife and stay in the bitacora which is a great family hotel but we fancied a change this year. there are a lot of hotels in benidorm dont know were to start any good suggestions the williams family.
Sol Pelicanos which is half board, and has the best hotel pool in Benidorm
It also has loads of stuff on for the young ones like the BamBam club where you can meet the Flintstones, nice and central for entertainment and 5 mins for the beach.
thanks for the info after reading review on the pelicanos hotel sounds great but is it true that you can not have any inflatables of any sort in pool and if any one has any other hotels for familys please recommend thanks.
P.S. Can anyone tell me if there is a mini bar in all the rooms in the Pelicanos/Ocas and how much per night it is to hire it.
However It is only the lake pool where they aren't allowed, you are free to use them both in the other pool at the Pelicanos and at the Ocas too.
I wouldn't let this put you off as it is a really nice hotel and I personally think that it's a small price to pay not been able to have lilos in the main pool.
The hotel is very central and the food is good, the entertainment I cannot really comment as we went out every night but the kidddies club looked really good.
Hope you have a good time wherever you choose to go.
Sue
Thats good news about using inflatables in the other pools. I remember now when we stopped at the Monica that had a large lagoon style pool too and you were only allowed to use rings.
Did you have a mini bar in your room and how much did it cost per day please.
Thanks again.
For anyone who hasn't already seen it, the Sol Ocas/Pelicanos has its own discussion topic which contains lots of useful info ...
We hired a fridge once whilst in Ibiza but it wasn't really financially viable as there was a supermarket round the corner that sold chilled drinks so we just bought them as and when so didn't really us it. Also, it wasn't actually a mini fridge, it was a full size one that looked liked something from the arc. I have seen better ones dumped in the tip. So we haven't bothered since.
There is a nice convenience store next door to the Pelicanos which is very reasonably priced so we just used that this time and if we fancied a night cap before bed then we'd purchase something just before we went out and put it in cold water in the sink or buy some ice and keep it in our cool bag.
Have a nice holiday.
Sue
Thanks Sue Allen
That's okay laudan, I just wanted to make sure that both you and leonardwillo were aware of the existing topic, as it obviously contains much more info about the hotel than this thread.

What are you trying to say David?
Sue
Just that there are 22 pages of discussion about the hotel in the other thread Sue, including reports about the construction works across the road.
Hi David, I know that there is a lot of information about the Pelicanos on another thread I was only joking.
What kind of things are there around benidorm at night time for children?
Most of the bars and all the restaurants are pretty "child friendly". Places like Cafe Benidorm and the various pubs in the Vincent's group have acts that are OK for kids. My youngest's favourite is Martin Kent and she also likes the various tribute acts (she thinks they're real). Pancho's has entertainment targeted at the younger kids up to a certain time. Apart from bars there are plenty of the usual amusements, crazy golf etc. and there is a ten pin bowling alley (I haven't been in there, you may have to book lanes).
EDIT: Merged with existing similar topic, which may provide some useful info while you wait for more feedback.

Hi Murgy, please could you tell me which company is offering the Pelicanos, we are looking to book D.I.Y for July but have only found one for this hotel which seems quite expensive compared with this year. We need a family room for 4.
