Stayed at the Ambassador 3 years ago - Just don't rate it at all. The woman who worked there seemed to just want to sneer at the holidaymakers who are keeping her in a job.

Thought the singer Neil came across as a really nice guy. A bit disapointed in what I seen just glad I'll be in Beni in about 12 hours

This is a programme about people who have gone there to work, and love the place. It is of course about the area catering for the British holiday maker, and I couldn't care less what some people say about it, I love the place. Alright, they were bound to show things like 'the square' late at night, lesbian shows etc, but so what, that is all part of a sometimes mad but wonderful place.
When the Entertainment guy at the Ambassador was saying about people just staying there all the time, I don't think he was referring to people staying by the pool for the day, he was talking about them doing it every day, and never going anywhere else. Those scenes made me laugh, it was like watching the sitcom 'Benidorm' again.
I found some of it very interesting as well, Neil St.John talking about the precariousness of being an entertainer there, of course, being an entertainer virtually anywhere is a precarious business.
I was also fascinated that they got to speak to the Mayor from the 50' and 60's who had a vision, and created Benidorm, a place which many of us love. Does the programme put it in a bad light? nah, that's Benidorm, take it or leave it, and I take it at least three times a year - that sounds like medication doesn't it, well, maybe it is for those of us lucky enough to be able to swallow it!

Hi Danny. We were there in June, and the producers popped in to chat to Colin and Matthew Fisher one evening about it, I think it was filmed during July.

It is a pity it was not on for longer. I think they could have stretched it to forty five minutes if not an hour. By the time you deduct the advert break there was not much left. But I enjoyed it and will be watching the next two episodes with interest.

Hopefully we will get to see a bit more of Benidorm and not just the Ambassador Hotel. But that is just a small critiscism. I much preferred this factual program as opposed to the other programme which I understand needs to remain nameless.

I don't think it had a detrimental effect on Benidorm itself, because you either love the place or loathe it no matter how it is portrayed in programmes like this.

I hope it shows you a little more in the next two episodes, did enjoy the old mayor part though, it would be nice to see bits of the old town and dove park, not just the high rise, as well the lovely restaraunts and such

Watched last nights programme along with all you other Benidorm lovers with great interest. Although I have stayed in Beidorm loads of time I have only stayed in the Ambassador once. It is as Liz said very central but that was never a problem for us, did we lay about the pool all day well somedays we did definetly not everyday but we were also there in July and I didnt see much entertainment from this guy. The queing or the pool was exactly as we found it, so the programme potrayed eveything exactly as it is but would I go back again well I would have my case packed for the morning if someone said I could go I love the place so much that nothing could put me off, the programme just made me more anxious to be out there again and all genuine Benidorm trippers know there is a whole lot more to Benidorm than what was shown.

LOVED IT yes it did not show you much of benni but hope next 2 episodes do we must of been there when it was filimed cause i remember the bomb scare. we were staying across the road in the rosamar at the time it was end of july and yes it was HOT to hot we are going back in may a bit cooler for us pelicanos this time

They mentioned it during their show last week.

Well it reminded me of "That Peter Kay thing" when they made the spoof docusoaps. Think it should of been on an hour though but maybe it's just coz I'm missing Beni.
