Ooops - I misread the original post, thought you had a fridge but just no ice. Clearly lager is NOT an option
If it was me Helen, I would ask for a glass of ice from the bar and take it back to the room.
I can stand the lager in a sink full of cold water I do like red wine, but I had thought of a bottle or 2 of spirits to last me the whole fortnight on the balcony. If I have red wine I'll need to buy around 8 bottles in duty free I don't want to arrive looking like this Caz I did think of that, but I really wanted it while I was dressing to go out for the evening or after arriving home at night - sounds like I've got a bit of a problem doesn't it hubby just said he could go to the bar& buy a glass of lemonade or coke and I could just add the spirit, but the soft drinks are normally as expensive as the spirit aren't they?
Irish coffee!
Hi Helen, why not get a neoprene bottle or can cooler, take it with you then get a bottle or can of cold mixer to go with your favourite tipple, these coolers can be found on ebay just type in what you'd prefer. They will probably keep your drink cold for an hour or two.T.
Thanks for all the suggestions folks. There's a few there for me to think about. Might have a look at those coolers.
Helen, you could even just get a coolbag from Asda or one of the supermarkets, that would keep cans or bottles cool for a little while, you could even ask the hotel to freeze cool blocks for you.T.
Take a look at this.....It's a bit pricey and I can't see how much it weighs but it would certainly work in a hotel room!
jaegerbombs..best taken with no ice anyway..
When we were in Italy we just filled the sink with cold water and bought a bag of (if a shop is close to the hotel) and put all our drinks in there.
Don't listen to Val those are lethal. Hubby and I nearly missed our flight cos we got hammered on them the night before out in Bristol
