If you want to drink Beer then it must be EfeS the best Beer in Turkey. If you want shorts then try Raki with water. Thats the Turkish national drink.Be careful as mixed with water you dont realse the affect it has on you and if you are not careful you will be Rat Legged in no time at all.Enjoy your holiday.

'Vole' is a beer that showed up last year - I found it a good alternative if Efes wasn't available as I don't like Tuborg.

If you like white wine try Cankaya - not the cheapest but very drinkable. The local gin (cin!) is quite acceptable in a martini or with tonic. Enjoy!! :cheers

if you like your bikardi when your home but find it is expensive in turkey order turkish VOTKA (not to be confused with vodka)
..is their version and is actually nicer and alot cheaper :)

A nice cold efes and the odd raki just to be polite. :cheers

Vodka and cherry juice also nice (try with soda also). Cherry juice is as widely drunk as orange juice is here.

That's the one. It's an 'acquired' taste should we say. I like to partake in a few glasses but I'm sure I wouldn't drink it here.

Very similar to Ouzo.

yeah and perno, i have too many bad experiences from working in kavos, corfu and playing too many games with ouzo i wont be having that again in a hurry haha

I usually drink Efes, I don't really like spirits much and although I like wine, I am not particularly keen on Turkish wine, Kavak is quite nice though. I do occasionally have a glass of raki too which is quite nice. Not that I can drink much with two young children to look after !

Kitten, you will find cocktails almost everywhere but you don't get too many alopops and if you do get them they are very expensive.

Miss Funky, Votka is Vodka, not Bacardi ....
