Waking up in the morning and knowing there is nothing to rush around for so you CAN go back to sleep if you want to - absolute bliss for me
chilly
After a long strenuous day on the beach, sunbathing and having had lots of wonderful food and a few coffees, getting back to the room for a long cool shower before preparing to go out for more wonderful food and a couple more coffees!!

CHILLY!!!! You have mentioned the bread boy again! POOP POOP POOP 6am in the morning. Just don't know how I put up with it year after year.

And we made the unfortnate mistake of buying some bread rolls for the adorable kids who live nearby, which makes the bread boy POOP POOP even more!!!!

I often manage another hour or so, hubby is usually coming back from breakfast just as I get showered/dressed then we potter off somewhere for me to get some yummy honey pancakes and hot milky coffee and he buys the local paper to catch up with local news. A nice relaxing start to the day.....which is what I like most...can't stand being rushed, do enough rushing around at home Fizzy
breakfast at crossroads liz
a good one to revive
My favourite time is when the sun starts to go down and the shacks are clearing up after a busy day. The crows have gathered for the left over pickings from the day and the temperature is a lot more bearable....say around 5.30-6pm.
I love sitting on the front chairs of a shack sipping a lovely cool cocktail and just watch the last few people enjoying themselves on the beach. What a way to finish the day.....love it!
What I also love is that time doesn't matter, you get up and have breakfast because you wake up and feel hungry not because you've looked at the clock and realised it's morning.
We eat lunch because we're hungry and fancy a beer not because we've looked at the clock and realised it's lunchtime.
We have a beer and watch the end of the day because the sun is going down not because we've looked at our watch and realised it's 5.30 - 6.00pm.
We leave the beach and go back to the hotel for a shower and to go out for dinner because it's dark not because we looked at our watch and saw it was 7 o'clock. Some of the best nights are when we don't leave the beach at all we just stay at the shack and eat our evening meal there and then after a long tiring day we go back to the hotel for a nightcap and bed - not because we looked at our watch and saw it was getting late but because we are tired.
That's Goa for me - time doesn't really matter do as you please when you please - relax and chill - the one time of the year you can hide your watch away and forget all about what time it is !!
My last trip to Goa was in 2000 and this has brought back so many memories and reminded me of why I'm so excited to be going back next January.
To Dave's wife,
Thinking along those lines, last year, around one week into the holiday, there was a point I hadn't got a clue what day of the week it was..........I was totally chilled! Love it
So "forgotten time" is also one of my favourite times

Another favourite of mine (although not in Goa) is when the flight is called for boarding and I know that I am definitely on the way!!
A nod and a good morning from all those walking past.
I can feel the tension releasing just thinking about it!
i could just drink a cold kings, and took into a plate of pakoras and samasos
