Were off to Turkey this week an my wife wants to know if she can get wholemeal bread there. If so,is there a special nane for it ,
Cheers.
You will get any type of bread in turkey ,not to sure of the names ,but it wont take you long to find out .The breads in turkey are lovely and fresh and really tasty .
Turkish people call it Diet bread, light diyet ekmeÄŸi or diyet ekmeÄŸi or kepek ekmeÄŸi.
Nearly all the restaurants in Turkey serve only white bread - but it is really delicious! You can buy wholemeal bread in the large supermarkets - it's called CAVDAR EKMEGI - but I don't think many restauarants/hotels will have it.
