Well, in February it was noisy on the beach, just like it was a year earlier! They didn't seem to have progressed at all! No noticeable noise elsewhere though. Our tour operator phoned us the week before we went to warn us and said they would move us if we decided it was a nuisance, but we don't spend much time at the beach, so were OK.

When I was booking our next trip to HBS in June, the warning came up on screen that there was building work and it would be finished in May. Have to confess it was noisy one day when were were down by the beach at end January. Couldn't hear it in other parts though. Didn't look to be making much progress when we were there.

Came back last week and I can't believe they are still digging out the rock on that same bit of land as they were when we were there 3 years ago . That same single digger and a truck has been there all this time . That rock must be like granite .

It's a shame for the hilton because no doubt it puts a lot off but you can only hear it from the beach and it's not every day .I didnt think there were as many fish about as there normally are either so it's probably having a dramatic effect on the sealife as well.

My hubby and sons took the rib boat that way to dive at Ras rob which I think is the next bay round . They made their own way back as part of the dive but the digger and drilling could be heard 20-30 mtres down so no doubt it is sending the fish away.

Just got back from the hilton 21st april,thee rear of the hilton down the perimiter to the sea is a quarry with loading shovels loading trucks all day 7 day's a week,this will go on for 3 to 6 month's before the dust problem is sorted,then the building will last 12 month's after that.this is confirmed by the hilton staff.on the beach just at the side of hiltons beach (if you can call it a beach)there are 2 hydraulic hammer's on excavators hammering all day.
