The bus between PP & Alcudia runs about every 1/2 hour throughout the day, except for a 2 hour break 1:30pm to 3:30pm. It costs 1.10 Euros one-way per person. Takes about 15-20 mins.
This is one timetable, there are other shorter routes in between. The information office next to the taxi rank has full timetables.

Thanks for this
:D
Ive book marked it as we will be in C'an Picafort and want to spend a day in pollensa

A point worth noting which appears to be the same (if i'm reading it correctly :D ) according to the posted Timetable is that the buses back from Pollensa to Ca'n Picafort stop running quite early in the evening so budget for a Taxi........

Thanks very much for this Pollensa1946, it's really helpful.

What's C'an Picafort like, would it be worth a visit?

Is there no evening bus service linking C'an picafort and Pollensa???

Snavie I'd say the Port at Alcudia is much nicer and heard nothing but fab opinions of Puerto Pollensa. We are going because we have found a hotel that we love last year... however the resort iteself is much nicer at night as pretty ugly during the day. just my opinion tho.... :D

Twenty years ago C'an Picafort was a small village, way out at the end of Alcudia bay, with one large hotel (Son Baulo) and a few other small ones.
Great beach in front of the Son Baulo. Now it's an extension of the Alcudia suburbia that sprawls out along the entire length of the bay.
Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special. Personal taste.

For the Hidropark, you need to get off at the Magic Circle in Alcudia. Which is just the name of a shopping/restaurant mall by the roundabout near the port....just by the go-cart track. Then you need to make a short walk towards the Jupiter/Saturno complex....but you'll probably spot the Hidropark because of the flumes :)

One word of warning....in summer the buses can get very crowded, and they'll just drive past if they're full up

We've also been on buses where a group of about 20 Spanish kids is being escorted to the beach.....they're incredibly well-behaved, but take up a lot of space!

Thanks for that Acorncup, we are flying out there on 24th May for two weeks, hopefully it shouldn't be too crowded then? :?

Have you been to the Hidropark, how does it compare to the bigger waterparks near Magaluf?
Reply
No don't suppose the buses will be too crowded in May....

I've nver been to the Hidropark because I'm a big wuss, and can't see more than a few inches in front of my face without my specs

I've heard that it's not as good as the one(s?) near Magaluf...BUT you don't have a long journey to get there.......

'scuse me butting in  but I have been to the Puerto Azul lots and it is great. I understand they have remade the swimming pool and sun terrace for this season.

Both accommodations are good, I am sure you will all have a fab time!!

Hi Daveeboy,

No we haven't been before, but our friends who we are going with have, and they really enjoyed it.

We like Sa Coma but are giving Puerto Pollensa a try, have you ever stayed at the Playa Mar?
Reply
no only at the puerto azul, but pp is lovely with some superb restaurants, its a bit quiet at night but if youve got kids it wont matter, how long you going for
Reply
We are going for 2 weeks, hopefully the sun will be shining :D

What about you?

10 days flying from humberside which is a first for us, we have been these 2 weeks before and to be honest the weather was good never too hot but good enough to lay out in and not worry too much about the kids overheating
