Hi,

I needed some cheapy vest tops for our holiday at Christmas and had no luck UNTIL I went to Matalan. £2 each and they had shorts and flip flops.
As for bikinis I only ever buy mine n line now from figleaves as can't get bikinis to fit my tops half otherwise!!

M & S have opened their 'summer shop' department in my local store, mostly swimwear, sarongs and t-shirts but it's a start! We usually go away in February and I always struggle to find things to buy, especially kidswear.

I've just ordered 2 pairs of crinkle trousers from Oxendales, and also 3 tops for £6.40 in the sale.

I haven't used them before so I can't say how good they are, although they did have quite a few summer items in their online catalaogue, and lots of beach wear. I've just tried looking up some reviews before writing this post, and as you'd expect from the net, some reviews are good, and others say it took 3 months for the items to arrive.......

their website is http://www.oxendales.co.uk

but please don't blame me if your holiday wear takes 3 months to arrive!
(I sure hope mine doesn't ;) I will post again to let you know how I get on)

i know exactly how you feel. In summer i bought a bikini from Asda, in a size 18, even though i am only a size 14/16, but it still wouldnt fit on the top, and the bottoms were too big

sounds like you need to start buying bikinis to fit your cup size :)

more expensive but look better / more support and you can get both the top and bottoms to fit you !

figleaves
bravissimo etc

also try ebay lots of brand new bikini tops in cup sizes

There are loads of shops that sell "summer" clothing and beachwear all year round - Asda, Debenhams, Tesco, Primark, Next , M&S as some others have suggested on this forum. Next and Accessorise always have holiday stuff at the airport too. I usually buy lots of stuff in the autumn sales and put it away for the next holiday. Have a great time :)

Managed to get some linen shorts from BHS this weekend and then some long linen trousers from M&S. Totally failed on the swimming costume front but it's early days yet I suppose!
