thanks for the message and the repy carrie jayne, we were thinking of getting the little one one of those "all-in-one" sun jumpsuits which i take is what you mean.
I was wondering if you can answer the questions i asked of egyptian pete above? i will email them to you as well
The boat trip prices are in the region of £20 - 30 depending on where you go , We didn't do any trips but I would say it's very safe just to book with the operators, If you go to Namma bay there are lots of trips to choose from,as for places not to go it's like anywhere in the world if it looks dodgy don't go but in our experiences we have never encountered any problems at all and we have been going now since 2003, Egyptian people are very frendly and they appreciate your being there. We always take the usual paracetamol and mossy stuff, imodium etc just in case. I never used the chemist at the hotel but I heard it was very reasonable. Hope that helps
Cheers and happy hols
Pete
The boat trips are a bit more expensive that the ones im used to in Turkey (£8-10) but im sure we'll still go on one at some point
Hey guys just back!!
great to hear that the Hotel was good and you guys had a good holiday, just cant wait to go now
Just sent you a PM with my email address on it because i couldnt remember if i sent it you before you went. If you can email me that holiday report then that would be fantastic
just another thing if anyone knows.... some website say the drinks are from 10 in the morning to 11pm at night and others say from 10am-midnight.... anyone who's been recently know which of these it is?
10 am - midnight! the draught beers good and cold, the bottled beer you take your chances with, all the local spirits and wines are ok as well, the cocktails are pretty strong too!!
Glad to hear its the later time sure that extra hour will come into play on some nights!
we just got back from the sunrise island view and it was carp, wished we`d gone back to the calimera

Hi me again just another couple of questions if anyone can answer them for me, do the rooms have hairdryers and more importantly we have just been told we should have had injections and we didn't know that does anyone think it will be a problem.
we had injections last year cos we were going to tunisia, we booked a latish thing to egypt so had them 2 weeks before we went, had our boosters this year. if i was you i would try to get them asap so at least you`ve had them...i think they take up tp 2 weeks to kik in but if you go before it`s still worth getting them.. you need HEP A, TYPHOID, and DIPHTHERIA,TETANUS + POLIO...it`s only 3 injections
sharon
can`t remember hairdryers in the rooms, my hair is only abt 1 inch long so didn`t need one!!!!!!!!!!.. but deff get the jabs asap...at least you`ve had them and the stuff is in your system
