Hi

My husband went to Cambrils 2 years ago and we returned from Sanguli on Tuesday so I can comment on both.

Apparently both places are owned by the same person so there isn't much difference between the two. Hubby said that Sanguli was bigger, slightly better organised and also cleaner and tidier. Also when Hubby went to Cambrills he was in a party of 6 men [bikers] and we think Sanguli only accepts family parties.

The only other difference worth pointing out is Sanguli is slightly nearer Salou but still a long walk.

Whichever you choose I am sure you won't be disappointed.

BTW, which site have you just been to as we are looking for somewhere for next year

We have just returned from Sanguli and it was brilliant. The big difference with the 2 is in Sanguli you have a bigger choice of accomadation. They also have 3 seperate pools but Cambrills has 1 big pool.As far as i know all the entertainment at night in Cambrills is around the pool area but in Sanguli it was in the amphitheatre and the bar. Also the walk to the beach from Sanguli is only across the road but in Cambrills you have a bit further to go as you have to walk quite a bit from the road to the site.
Anyway i can only speak for Sanguli and as far as i cuold see you couldn't get any better. It was spotless clean and very well laid out and we will definetly return.

Hi Tina

You may have been at Sanguli when we were - the 12th - 19th July??

It is a great place isn't it - where was your accomodation? We were with Thomson Al Fresco, right at the top of the path next to the kids club.

Glad you enjoyed your stay, we would definitely go back too!!

Hi Sam1967
We were there from25June until 9July.We stayed in a Tahiti Suite which we booked directly with Sanguli. It was a 2 bedroomed bungalow and had air conditioning.7 of us stayed there including 1 baby and we thought it was great. We paid 1600euro for the 2 weeks which was very good and we booked our flights seperate.
We thoght it was brill for the kids and would have no problems recommending it.

Hi Sam, thanks for the info, we returned from Camping Montgri in Costa Brava. It was excellent look in the costa brava forum lots of info there. We were a party of 16 (3 families) with children ranging from 4 to 18 and everyone enjoyed it. I will go back to it again but not next year want to try somewhere else.
If you try Go4Spain they have very reasonably prices homes on this site. Siesta Redcrest keycamp haven eurocamp are all there too. Siesta and Redcrest are apparently putting in all new homes on this site.

Hope that helps if you want any further info let me know

I have viewed both camps and if i was going to stay at one it would be Sanguli, it looks better than the cambrils one. Some people we asked at Sanguli said it was great for the kids and that they go back year after year. Also it is closer to Salou where you have a very wide range of things to do if you want to leave the camp for a few hours.

Been to Cambrils Park with Canvas Hols last 3 years booked again next year top place whole family love it 2 boys 9 and 7 loads to do for them and nice and far away from Salou 8) close enough to Port Aventura, waterparks etc(we fly to barca and then hire a car) get the bbq on most nights plenty of craic from other people beside you.
Campsite spotless as well, went down to sanguli for a look around looked nice as well but far too many trees(to much shade and loads of bugs  )

Stayed in Cambrils 2003 & Sanguli 2004.

Both great sites, however we like a bit of nightlife and whilst sat in Cambrils could hear noise (not too excessive) from Sanguli. So we went there following year!

Sanguli seems to be more lively, and as someone has already said appears to be more shady with more trees (we didn't see the bugs though!)

Pool in Cambrils is quite shallow all over, whereas pool in Sanguli had a "deep end".

Cambrils was easier to drive out of for supermarkets, Port Aventura etc(back towards the N340), whereas Sanguli you have to negotiate the rail crossing and town roads each time.

If you like a quieter holiday go to Cambrils Park, if you want more action go to Sanguli (although its still not on par with traditional Costa holidays, both sites are all quiet after mid-night).

We like it so much we're going back this year yet again, with another family. This year we went to Cyprus which was too expensive and we prefer BBQ, chilling out with cheap San Miguel and wine whilst 15 & 12 year olds go up to the disco etc.

I think anyone would enjoy either campsite, as long as you don't mind the Dutch because they made up 90% of the guests on both camps when we last went.

Hi ballymac, in addition to what has been said above. When we stayed there, we crossed the railway line and main road and got on the Wally Trolley(train) which took us direct to Port Aventura Theme Park. This was designed by the same people who did Chessington World of Adventures and Alton Towers. By now, as it was some years ago, i would say it has grown in size and you would probably need two days there !! Don't forget the trip to Barcelona to visit the Football Stadium and later the Fountains which perform to music. I would highly recommend Sanguli.
