We're planning on going across on the ferry (Thanks Tesco Clubcard) to Dublin with two kids and a tent.
We've never been to Ireland before, and wonder if anyone can offer any advice or good places to visit. Kids are 8 and 4, and not really into castles or historical places. Are the pubs generally family-friendly?
Any advice would be great! Cheers

There is a law in Ireland which requires children to be out of licenced premises by 9pm. I believe this is extended to 10pm during the summer months. In reality, it is not a law which is widely enforced. But it is something that you would have to bear in mind if you were perhaps choosing a small town or village that may only have a few pubs, especially if they are also the only source of evening meals and entertainment.
