Hi!
I've managed to persuade my boss to let me out of the office for a whole 2 weeks, and we've decided to spend those 2 weeks camping round Wales and Ireland.
I've never been to either, so I am very excited! Does anyone have any tips or advice? We'll hoping to travel round the bottom bit of Wales, then over to Ireland, up Ireland's East coast, then back over to Wales and home. Anywhere we should look out for or avoid?
Thanks all
you don't say how long you plan to stay in any one area, but if you only have 2 weeks then I think Wales AND Ireland is a little much
There is such a lot to see in South Wales alone that you would need a week to see it all and there's a raw beauty of North Wales that's a must to see.
Then add on all the time travelling, getting to sites and constant pannagé, you would need a holiday to get over the holiday
Hi dwynna! My husband and I go camping most weekends during the summer. We always go back to the same place, which is St Davids in the Pembrokeshire coast. There are many camp sites around that area, Newgale which we've stayed at. Solva is another beautiful place, we walked there from St David's all along the coast, it was fab. White sands is another, that's where most people surf. Brilliant campsite in St Davids is Glan y mor, It's a large field, but has good shower blocks and even a pub. The pub has lovely outdoor decking with tables and chairs, and even patio heaters on those chilly summer nights. They also do good pub grub. This particular camp site is within 5min walking distance to town center. Town center has shops, chip shop, pubs, cafes, lovely bistros, believe me if you go there, you won't want to leave, but if you do want to travel around, you'll find other camp sites not too far away. In August my husband and I are backpacking around the Pembrokeshire coast, probably for approx 10 days. Haven't sorted out the itinerary yet, we better pull our finger out!! I'm sure wherever you decide to go, you'll have a great time.
