Hi there..we are going to try our hand at camping..now bearing in mind my only experience of camping out was in my friends back garden when i was 11.. So has anyone been to a great campsite in wales with a few amenities..I know I love in wales but don't want to go to far incase I hate it.
Thanks

Hi welshhoney1 My daughter loves camping and for the last three weekends she has stayed at Glan y Mor in St Davids. It has a lovely pub on site with a decent toilet and shower block. Also its within easy walking distance of the town. Its lovely and flat for cycling and there's great surfing nearby.
We also use the Old Vicarage in Red Roses.
The Gower is stunning too.
Bank Farm has lots of amenities.
thanks for the replies...Luci after I posted this I then realised we have a camping forum sorry..could it be moved pleased.

The Bron-y-Wendon site at Llandullas, just before Caernafon, is a lovely site, overlooking the sea, and only a few minutes (if you`re fit) down to the beach. It`s just off the A55.

A HUGE camp site with chance to camp either on open fields, amongst trees, amongst sand dunes and if lucky, right next to/adjoining beach.
Sorry, my eyes must need testing! I just realised you said camping, Bron-y-Wendon is for caravans and motorhomes, sorry again.

We found the campsite to be very clean, they are in the middle of upgrading and there is some building work going on, but it didn't spoil our wekend at all.Any queries just ask away.
