we are off to club zigana again,diy,for 2wks in may,its in beldibi nr kemer,very very quiet resort with nothing going on,but i'm gonna get my way next time,

ive been to kemer for the day that was nice as we stayed in tekirova once but didnt like tekirova, boring place and not even nice views etc, we met a couple there that were staying in beldibi and they said there hotel was full of russians and they were the only brits and all entertainment food etc was for russians lol so got transferred to our hotel

I think sometimes you need to mix n match your holidays if there are 4 or 5 of you. One year quiet, one year busy, one SC another AI etc etc, the chances of eveyone likeing the same thing especially for 2 weeks is probably quite low. I know me and hub would love Akyaka or Kas/Kalkan, but suspect they would be 2 quiet for my 14 and 12 year old, whereas Icmeler would probably be right up their street (so to speak LOL)

Good Luck persuading them for 2008.

stayed in tekirova also,phasellis princess,beldibi is just up the road,and yes it is full of russians,but more and more brits are starting to go there now,our first year, there was only 12 brits,last year it was up to about 30,so who knows ,when we get back there in may,could be many more.

the phaselis orange apts we stayed there they were in co with the phaselis princess hotel so we could use hotel facilities and restaurants, sadly i wasnt impressed it was just ok , thought tekirova was awful

chris my son loved akyaka and he was just 16 this summer when we went, infact hes still trying to decide whether to come next year, hes happy going to akyaka again just not our company lol, hes trying to find someone to come. its not so quiet that theres nothing to do, there are boat trips down the river and sea, theres a huge outdoor cinema, gorgeous beach, and my son used to play pool a lot, if your kids love swimming they will be fine, the only downside is the shops ,theres not a huge selection, but theres cute little stalls selling gifts ,jewellery etc along the seafront, slightly smaller than olu deniz but i suppose with olu you have hisaronu too ,whereas akyaka theres not a lot else around, marmaris is 20 miles away so not that far

no,dont dance on the bar,cant dance or i might have done,prone to a bit of singing tho,and sadly yes i do go out in my gooners or england shirts,just cant let go of my youth or wont,lol

icmeler has plenty of bars like this, head for dream boys, waiters dancing with cocktails on their heads, 1 waiter climbed up a tree bare footed with a big goldfish bowl full of booze,straws allsorts of decorated things on his head, i couldnt believe it, jumping off the bar again not holding on with drinks balanced on their heads lol

many thanks to all those who posted replies,which made me look at icmeler,been sitting at the pc all day looking at the various places on offer in this part of turkey,and the one that has stood out for me is the sahin palace apartments,although wont be going for quite a while,does anyone know of this place,or better still,stayed there,would like to know if i have made a good choice,

I would suggest Dursun apartments.They have 2 & 3 bedrooms apartments too,s/pool,200 mt's to the beach,karoekee bar,cafe,restaurant, family run type of property.
