Autoreisen used to use the hire place down at the harbour in PB as well as the airport, I don't know if that's still the case. But, since you are going to have to get from the airport to PB and back anyway why not pick up and drop off at the airport, saves on taxis, which will be 80 - 100 euros return.
Thanks for the reply Rob. We have transfers to and from the airport included so we just want a car for a couple of days whilst at PB. Autoreisen look very good but an airport pickup wouldn't be practical unless we forgo the transfer and get a car there.
There is definitely a car hire place down at the harbour, or at least there used to be. But there are others in PB, I have no idea of prices though.
Orcar are there which is actually owned by Autoreisen and I think Cabrera Medina also have a place there.
Hi, just been on google and did street view outside Princesa Yaiza on Av Papagayo and there is a Cabrera Medina office there and one in the town on Calle de la Tegala near the roundabout.
We are about to head off to sunny Lanzarote for our winter hols.
This time braving it by taking the In-Laws with us..!
Has anyone hired a full sized people carrier while there?
All of the car hire company's quote "Similar" to the one shown and we have concerns that once there, it wont be the type we need.
The best so far has been autoreisen which quote and show a Hyundai H1.
Has anyone used one of these before?
We need at least 6 seats with space for luggage as well. (At least 4 cases)
Any thoughts or ideas very welcome..!
Hi Yorkies, I emailed our hire company and asked if they could confirm the make and name of Car we wanted (ie Hyundai H1). They did confirm but when we went to pick up the car, because we wanted only the car we had requested, we had to wait about an hour for it to be returned and "valeted". We were offered an alternative but decided to wait. Perhaps that's why they put "or similar"? All the cars we saw were only a couple of years old and in good nick. So you may be in luck and your car is there and waiting for you or it may not have been returned yet so you may get a choice of wait or take an alternative. Nick.
Thanks for posting a reply.
My we ask please, did you find it a suitable car the Hyundai H1?
Hopefully wasn't to old either....
Sorry for misleading you, I was using the H1 as an example we had a Mercedes B class, smaller than your requirements. But I do know that their cars are not very old so I would expect you to get a car that is only a couple of years old at the most. I would email them direct and ask.
