Please can anyone tell me if they have same rules at Rhodes airport re. bottles in suitcases as they do at Corfu airport?. We were there in May and had brought back several bottles of Metaxa and Ouzo, well packed in our suitcases. Our rep had told us they must be sealed to be in the cases, which they were. Imagine my embarrasment when they put my cases throught he scanner and saw my bottles, called me out of the queue and then proceeded to rummage through my dirty washing in full view of paccked airport! to find the offending bottles and check they were sealed. I was mortified! Is it just a random thing? as I didnt see every case being searched, yet I'm sure most people bring a bottle or two back? We are off to Pefkos on 10 August and really dont want the same embarrasment!
