When I was out there I heard that the Saudis were interested in taking over the Casino but there are always rumours in Tunisia so I rather doubted anything would come of it. It will be nice to have it up and running again, especially as a home for Changing Ladies. I agree they are definitely the better of the two troups, though the Dream Girls aren't bad. I'm only jealous that the 'ladies' legs are so much better than mine.
P.S. I've just had an update a few minutes ago: It appears the Casino is only open for the shows and not as a Casino as before. and also Panorama use it for one of their evening excursions, but they use the Dream Girls. I'm told Changing Ladies are also at the Royal Kenz, PEK, every Tuesday without fail. The new costumes are sensational and they are now doing stuff from around the world. Last night they even had Tunisian dancers doing an Irish Riverdance routine!! There were 10 'ladies' on stage as well as the Tunisian 'Irish' dancers.

Unless there is another 'Mark' out there I think he must be because I've been told by someone I know on another forum, who lives out there, that they can contact Mark and let me know where and when they are performing. Small world isn't it, especially in Tunisia

I've just heard this morning that the new owners of the Casino are the same people who own the Samara and the Slim Centre. Mystery solved!

I returned from Tunisia on Sunday (19 April 2009) having seen the Chaning Ladies at the Maharba Palace Hotel in Port el Kantaoui on the Thursday night, which is where they will be every Thursday throughout the season. They were magnificent. They also told us that they will be at the Casino in Sousse on two evenings throughout the season, but I haven't got the leaflet with me at work.

Enjoy.

:sun2 I Have just come back from a weeks holiday in Tunisia; where I stayed at The Royal Kenz Hotel Port El Kantauoui. On Wednesday I went to the Casino Caraibe Sousse where I saw "The Changing Ladies" And because I was so impressed with the show; on Friday night I went to see the Changing Ladies" again at The Golf Residencia Hotel" in El Kantaoui where they will be performing every Friday night. "What a Show".
The costumes were `spectacular` and`the routines great`. It is a show for all the family. In fact the best show I have seen while on holiday.
A show that would fill any London Theatre ...Yes it was that good. If only we had a show of this calibre in London.
Mark whose responsible for the show comes from Belgium. I am told that `Mark` designs all the costumes and choreographs the show!
If I could afford the time and fare...I would fly over to see them every month...yes they are indeed that good. A must see for all who visit Port El Kantaoui Tunisia.

Thanks for that Jasmine. I have enjoyed Mark's shows several times in the past and was surprised and sorry to see a comment today from a poster who was certainly not impressed. I did wonder if it had deteriorated, but perhaps it just may not have been to the person's taste. I'll try and fit in a visit next week or the week after when I'm back in Sousse.

Your wish is my command Bushbaby! I can't promise to go and see the show as I've got several places to go and people to see, but if I do manage it I'll certainly do a write-up for you.

It seems that the show we watched was a cut down version of Changing Ladies as there were only 2 of them when it has been said there are 5 of them one was an older man possibly in his 50s and a younger one possibly in his 30s slim with black hair, they did not do themselves any favours by splitting the troupe,we watched them at the Marabout Hotel opposite the Caribe Casino where we watched a number of shows there were about 150 people when they appeared on stage but within 10/15 minutes it was down to 50 we stayed till the end thinking it would get better it did when they appeared on stage after changing into there own clothes and singing as a duo,the full show with 5 of them might be good but this wasn't and we have seen quite a number of drag shows.

Hello

Just back from staying in Sousse for two weeks. We went to see the Changing Ladies Show at the Casino Caraibe. The Show, which is on Wednesday & Sunday evenings starting at 21.30, can be booked at the Casino Box Office from 18.00 each evening, at a cost of 30 Dinars (£15 per person) and tables seating six can be reserved.

The show lasts for 2hrs 20minutes, with a short interval. Waiter service is avaiable for all drinks, at reasonable prices, and also a selection of nuts and cheese biscuits are placed on each table.

Cameras, not videos cameras, can be used throughout the Show.

There are seven entertainers and the Show is exceptionally good.

We bought the DVD. Good value. Not the Show we saw but an earlier one at that venue. These guys are really good and a must for all visitors.

Jasmine. May I ask how often you visit Tunisia? I have been there, in September for the last 7 years. It's like a second home now.

:sun2 Hi Yes I have been going to Tunisia for the past three years, staying at the `Royal Kenz` where the food is great. I also love the entertainment, at the Casino Caraibe `Changing Ladies`. My partner and I only go for a week, because there is only so much sunbathing, site seeing and shopping one can do!
Tell me where do you stay? and what do you do when your there? What draws you back time and time again.

Jasmine my problem is that this is a topic about 'Casino Caraibe Sousse/Changing Ladies' and if it continues to stray off this topic and in to a personal chat section it will get locked as being :offtop

As I politely mentioned there is a dedicated area for general chat http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=138844

I read this act still perfroms at the Royal Kenz every Tuesday, is this still correct? Im assuming you have to pay to see this act at the hotel?

Hi, Yes in fact as far as I know the `Changing Ladies` still perform at the Royal Kenz. They also perform at the Casino in Sousse. The charge to see the show at the Royal Kenz is cheaper and more expensive at the Casino in Sousse. In Sousse the show is bigger and better although I have to say that the show is still worth seeing although reduced in size at the Royal Kenz.
