I recently stayed at the Tasia Maris hotel and booked, with the Thomson rep a trip called VIP cruise. We were lead to belive in the talk and by photos in the booklet that this catamaran would have a handful of people on it, we would be able to lay our towels on the netting and sunbathe and during the 3 stops we would be able to snorkel (with their equipment) and use canoes. Sounds like heaven doesnt it?
We got on the boat and all 8 spaces on netting were taken. There were 60 people in all on this boat with about 20 snorkel sets and 2 canoes. Needless to say not everyone got a turn. We still enjoyed the trip but at £60 each we would not have booked it if we had known.
We complained to the reps and they said they didnt feel they had misled us as they said limited number of people but didnt state a figure. We filled out a report form but have heard nothing.
Hope this helps anyone thinking of booking the trip
Kezza - where did this one leave from?
Personally I think everyone knows its first come first 'to lie down' on this type of cruise - although your rep did seem to mislead you - hope you get a response from your travel company
I wont let it put me off of booking again but I have learnt to ask more questions before booking it and that way wont have higher expectations.
